"Parallel Paths" is the one-hundredth-and-seventeenth episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It aired in Japan on September 4, 2019.
After finding out where Ai is, Yusaku heads to an island located in the outskirts of Den City, all by himself. Ai has already started making copies of himself on the island, using the SOLtiS he acquired from SOL Technologies. Ai reveals his motive for attacking humans, as well as all the thoughts he's been keeping to himself. And now, with the future of the world on the line, Yusaku and Ai begin their first and final battle.

Turn 1: Playmaker
Playmaker draws Garbage Collector and subsequently summons it (100/1900). Then, he activates Cynet Optimization and uses its effect to summon "Flame Bufferlo" (a Cyberse monster). Playmaker then activates the effect of Garbage Collector to return "Flame Bufferlo" to Special Summon another Cyberse from his deck with a different name. He summons "Sea Archiver". Since "Flame Bufferlo" was returned to his hand, Playmaker activates its effect to discard a Cyberse monster to draw 2 cards.
