"The Menace of "Mist"!!" is the fourteenth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga. It was first printed in Japan on May 20, 2005 in V Jump magazine. It was later reprinted in volume 2 of Yu-Gi-Oh! R.

Kaiba and Willa Mette begin their confrontation on the roof of the KaibaCorp building.

Featured Duel: Seto Kaiba vs. Willa Mette

Turn 1: Kaiba
Kaiba Sets "Shrink" and Normal Summons "Blade Knight" (1600/1000) in Attack Position.

Turn 2: Willa
Willa Sets a card and Normal Summons "Lancer Dragonute" (1600/1800) in Defense Position.

Turn 3: Kaiba
Kaiba Normal Summons "Vorse Raider" (1900/1200) in Attack Position. It attacks "Lancer Dragonute", but Willa activates his face-down "Mist Body", equipping it to "Lancer Dragonute" It prevents its destruction in battle. Kaiba then Sets "Crush Card Virus".

Turn 4: Willa
Willa Sets two cards and Normal Summons "Axe Dragonute" (2000/1000) in Attack Position. He activates "Card Hexative", preventing both of Kaiba's Set cards from being activated. "Axe Dragonute" attacks and destroys "Blade Knight" (Kaiba 4000 → 3600).

Turn 5: Kaiba
Kaiba Sets a card. He Tributes "Vorse Raider" to Tribute Summon "Swordstalker" (2000/1600) in Attack position. Its effect increases its ATK by 20% of the ATK of the "Blade Knight" in his Graveyard to 2320.^{[Notes 1]} "Swordstalker" attacks Axe Dragonute", but Willa activates his face-down "Synchronic Ability", copying the effect of "Mist Body" and preventing "Axe Dragonute" from being destroyed in battle.
