Turn 6: Dark Yugi
Since a monster has been Summoned to Dark Marik's side of the field, the effect of "Slifer the Sky Dragon" activates, reducing the DEF of "Ra" by 2000 points (and if the DEF of "Ra" becomes 0, it will be destroyed). However, since "Ra" has been Special Summoned in "Phoenix Mode", the effect of "Slifer" is negated. Dark Marik then activates the third effect of Ra: as it has been Summoned in Phoenix Mode, he pays 1000 Life Points (Dark Marik 4000 → 3000) to allow "Ra" to destroy one of the opponent's monster without applying Damage calculation. "Slifer" is destroyed. During the End Phase, "Ra" returns to the Graveyard as it was Special Summoned. "Monster Reborn" then returns to Dark Yugi's Graveyard, but Dark Marik activates his Set "Zombie's Jewel", allowing him to take an opponent's Spell Card when it is sent to the Graveyard. He retrieves "Monster Reborn" from Dark Yugi's graveyard. The second effect of "Zombie's Jewel" then activates, allowing Yugi to draw one card from his Deck.
