"God's Third Power!" is the one hundred and eighty-ninth chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist in the English version and the two hundred and forty-eighth chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! in the Japanese version.

Featured Duel: Katsuya Jonouchi vs. Dark Marik[]

Turn 11: Jonouchi
Since Jonouchi used three Tributes to Tribute Summon "Gilford the Lightning", "Gilford the Lightning"'s Effect activates, and destroys Dark Marik's remaining "Viser Des". Jonouchi declares a Direct attack on Dark Marik using "Gilford the Lightning." In response, Dark Marik activates his Face-down Trap Card, "Nightmare Mirror". "Nightmare Mirror"'s effect causes "Gilford the Lightning" to attack Jonouchi for 1000 damage. (Jonouchi: 1600) As the cost for the activation, Dark Marik discards "The Sun Dragon Ra". "Helpoemer"'s effect activates (though this is not shown), and Jonouchi discards a random card to the Graveyard.

Turn 12: Dark Marik
Dark Marik draws the Spell Card "Monster Reborn". He activates "Monster Reborn" to Special Summon "The Sun Dragon Ra" from his Graveyard. Because it was Special Summoned with no Tributes, it appears on the field with an ATK and a DEF of 0. Dark Marik activates "The Sun Dragon Ra"'s third effect, turning it into its God Phoenix Form.
