"The Opening of the Duel Team Carnival!!" is the twentieth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! D Team ZEXAL manga. It was first published December 3, 2013 in the Saikyō Jump magazine.
Summary[]
The Duel Team Carnival begins! However, someone hacks the litterbots, causing a huge riot. Now, it's up to the reborn Team ZEXAL to stop it.
Featured Duel: Kotori Mizuki/Yuma Tsukumo vs. Litterbot[]
The beginning of the Duel is not shown. Kotori has 1000 Life Points, has "Xyz Reborn" Set, "Fairy Cheer Girl" in her Graveyard and her hand contains "Gellenduo", "Shining Angel" and "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force". The Litterbot has 1300 Life Points, controls "Bujintei Susanowo" (2400/1600) and has "Bujingi Quilin" and "Bujingi Turtle" in its Graveyard.
At this point, Yuma takes over the Duel for Kotori.
Yuma's turn
Yuma activates his face-down "Xyz Reborn", Special Summoning "Fairy Cheer Girl" (1900/1500) from his Graveyard and attaching itself to "Fairy Cheer Girl" as an Xyz Material. Yuma activates the effect of "Fairy Cheer Girl", detaching an Xyz Material to draw a card. Yuma activates "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force", Ranking-Up "Fairy Cheer Girl" and Special Summoning "CXyz Dark Fairy Cheer Girl" (2500/1900). "Barian's Force" also allows Yuma to detach an Xyz Material from "Susanowo" and attach it to "Dark Fairy Cheer Girl" Yuma attacks and destroys "Bujintei Susanowo" with "Dark Fairy Cheer Girl" (Litterbot 1300 → 1200). As "Dark Fairy Cheer Girl" destroyed a monster by battle Yuma activates its effect, detaching an Xyz Material to inflict 400 damage to the Obot for each card in his hand (Obot 1200 → 0).
