The Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Dortmund 2023 was a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series held at the Westfallenhalle in Dortmund from 30 September - 1 October 2023.
Results[]
The main event was won by Julius Schwarzkopf, playing a "Therion Sunavalon Rikka" deck. In the finals, he defeated Lukas Janßen, who was using "Vanquish Soul". Both finalists were from Germany and had never topped a YCS before this event. The Top 4 contenders were Lorenzo Muselli from Italy and Sophiane Belkacem from France, playing "Unchained" and "Branded Despia" decks respectively.
This event marked the third international European event to be won by the "Sunavalon Rikka" deck, after the WCQ Europe 2022 and WCQ Europe 2023. Out of the seven international events that had happened in Europe since the return of in-person events after the Covid-19 pandemic, the deck had won nearly half of them despite never being among the most represented decks.
