"Ultimate Showdown! What is the Truth Behind the Tournament?!" is the fourteenth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V The Strongest Duelist Yuya!! manga. It was first published June 1, 2017, in the Saikyō Jump magazine.
Summary[]
The final confrontation between Yuya and Reiji begins in an outer space field. Amidst this battle of quick Summons, Reiji reveals that the true purpose of that Duel is stopping a meteor coming towards Earth - turning this Duel in a Duel that has the fate of humanity on stake.
Featured Duel: Yuya Sakaki vs. Reiji Akaba[]
Note: This Duel uses a special gameplay in order to make it simpler for the children, which makes the Monster Cards have no effects whatsoever.
Turn 1: Reiji
Reiji activates "D/D Savant Copernicus" (PS1) and "D/D Savant Newton" (PS10) in his Pendulum Zones, allowing him to Pendulum Summon "D/D Pandora" (1700/2100) and "D/D Ghost" (600/300) from his hand. He tunes "Pandora" to "Ghost", Synchro Summoning "D/D/D Gust King Alexander" (2500/2000). Next, Reiji activates "Dark Contract with the Swamp King", banishing "Pandora" and "Ghost" from his Graveyard to Fusion Summon "D/D/D Blaze King Genghis" (2000/1500).
Turn 2: Yuya
Yuya activates "Dual-Colored Eyes", placing "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" from his hand face-up in his Extra Deck and drawing 2 cards. He activates "Timegazer Magician" (PS1) and "Stargazer Magician" (PS8) in his Pendulum Zones, allowing him to Pendulum Summon "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" (2500/2000) from his Extra Deck, as well as "Performapal U Go Golem" (1600/1000), "Performapal Longphone Bull" (1600/1200), "Performapal Teeter Totter Hopper" (100/1200) and "Nobledragon Magician" (700/1400) from his hand. Yuya tunes "U Go Golem" to "Nobledragon Magician" to Synchro Summon "Clear Wing Synchro Dragon" (2500/2000), and overlays "Teeter Totter Hopper" and "Longphone Bull" to Xyz Summon "Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon" (2500/2000). "Odd-Eyes" attacks "Alexander", with both monsters being destroyed. "Dark Rebellion" then attacks and destroys "Genghis" (Reiji 4000 → 3500). "Clear Wing" attacks directly, but Reiji obtains and activates the Action Card "Block Draw", negating the attack and drawing 1 card.
Turn 3: Reiji
During his Standby Phase, Reiji takes 1000 damage from the effect of "Dark Contract with the Swamp King" (Reiji 3500 → 2500). He uses his Pendulum Scales to Pendulum Summon "D/D Cerberus" (1800/600) and "D/D Orthros" (600/1800) from his hand, subsequently overlaying them to Xyz Summon "D/D/D Wave King Caesar" (2400/1200). Reiji obtains and activates the Action Card "Star Boost", increasing the ATK of "Caesar" by 1100 ("Caesar": ATK 2400 → 3500) and allowing it to attack all of Yuya's monsters. "Caesar" attacks and destroys "Dark Rebellion" and "Clear Wing" (Yuya 4000 → 3000 → 2000).
