"Swing! My Pendulum!!" is the fifth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V The Strongest Duelist Yuya!! manga. It was first published December 3, 2015, in the Saikyō Jump magazine.
Summary[]
After his loss to Reiji Akaba, Yuya's spirit is broken. It is when a mysterious masked Duelist appears and challenges him to a Duel.
Featured Duel: Yuya Sakaki vs. "The Super Samurai Mask"[]
Note: This Duel uses a special gameplay in order to make it simpler for the children, which makes the Monster Cards have no effects whatsoever.
At the start of the Duel, the Field Spell Card "Circus Tent" is activated, as per the rules of an Action Duel. It will allow the players to use Action Cards, but they may only have one in their hand at a time.
Turn 1: SS Mask
SS Mask Normal Summons "Dinomist Stegosaur" (1600/1800).
Turn 2: Yuya
Yuya places "Performapal Monkeyboard" (
1) and "Performapal Lizardraw" (
6) in his Pendulum Zones, allowing him to Pendulum Summon "Performapal Drummerilla" (1600/900).
Turn 3: SS Mask
SS Mask places "Dinomist Pteran" ( 3) and "Dinomist Plesios" ( 6) in his Pendulum Zones, allowing him to Pendulum Summon "Dinomist Brachion" (2000/800), "Dinomist Ceratops" (2100/400) and "Dinomist Rex" (2400/2200). He attacks "Drummerilla" with "Rex", but Yuya gets an Action Card, "Balloon Carnival", and activates it, halving all Battle Damage Yuya takes this turn. "Drummerilla" is destroyed (Yuya 4000 → 3600). SS Mask attacks Yuya directly with "Stegosaurer", "Brachion" and "Ceratops", with the effect of "Balloon Carnival" halving the damage (Yuya 3600 → 750). At this point, SS mask gets an Action Card, "Knife Throw", and activates its, destroying the "Lizardraw" in Yuya's Pendulum Zone.
Turn 4: Yuya
Yuya places "Performapal Skullcrobat Joker" ( 8) in his Pendulum Zone, allowing him to Pendulum Summon "Performapal Drummerilla",
"Performapal Lizardraw" (1200/600), "Performapal Splashmammoth" (1900/2300), "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" (2500/2000) and "Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon" (2800/2000). He also gets an Action Card, "Jumping Through the Fire Ring", and activates it, increasing the ATKs of all of his monsters by 500. "Lizardraw" (ATK 1200 → 1700) destroys "Stegosaurer" (SS Mask 4000 → 3900); "Drummerilla" (ATK 1600 → 2100) destroys "Brachion" (SS Mask 3900 → 3800); "Splashmammoth" (ATK 1900 → 2400) destroys "Ceratops" (SS Mask 3800 → 3500); "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" (ATK 2500 → 3000) destroys "Rex" (SS Mask 3500 → 2900); and finally, "Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon" (ATK 2800 → 3300) attacks SS Mask directly (SS Mask 2900 → 0).
