"The Sinister Bell's Chime" is the one hundred and seventeenth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime. It first aired in Japan on August 7th, 2016.
Yugo and Rin happily reunite. Suddenly, Rin challenges Yugo to a Duel! Despite being childhood friends who grew up and Dueled together in New Domino City, Yugo senses that something is wrong with the monster that Rin Summoned.
Summary
The episode starts with Yugo saying sorry about being late to Rin. He states he was planning on saving her earlier but that he should win the Friendship Cup first, as he promised Rin. Rin still hugging Yugo says that doesn't matter to her, she demands Yugo duel her right now. Rin then proceeds to throw Yugo out of her tower's window.
Meanwhile in the other tower Kite is falling from Lulu's tower after being thrown out in the same way as Yugo by Rin. While Kite is falling, he sees Template:Anime fly towards him. Kite lands on the monster which brings him down to the ground safely, and there he meets Shay and Aster running towards him. Kite asks why the pair are here. Shay replies he survived thanks to Aster and both traveled to the Fusion Dimension together. Shay asks what happened up in the tower, to which Kite replies he was pushed. This shocks Shay, as he runs up to see Lulu. Aster tries to explain to the running Shay that Lulu is most likely being controlled, but Shay doesn't listen. Kite says there is another person called Yugo in the other tower. He tells Aster to go and meet him to tell him, while Kite will do the same to Shay. Kite makes chase after Shay.
Yugo and Rin build a Duel Runner together.
Yugo has landed on his Duel Runner and checks it panicking. Rin is now outside and challenges Yugo to a duel while wearing a Duel Academy duel disk. Rin tells Yugo to forget the Duel Runner. Yugo replies by remembering how Rin and Yugo bought parts and made the Duel Runner from scratch, asking if Rin has forgotten how they put their feelings into it. Rin continues to ignore Yugo and asks for a duel, Yugo accepts.
Rin arrives to duel Yugo.
Rin starts the duel by playing the Spell card Wind-Calling Bell Chime which lets her Special Summon a Wind Witch monster with the same name as a monster in her hand. She declares Template:Anime and special summons it. She then goes on to Normal Summon another Wind Witch - Ice Bell. She then uses its effect, allowing her to inflict 500 points of damage to Yugo on the turn it is Normal or Special Summoned, and since she controls two she uses the effect twice, reducing Yugo's lifepoints to 3000. Yugo notes how this effect feels colder then before. Rin then Special Summons the Tuner monster Template:Anime from her hand since she controls two face-up WIND monsters. She tunes her Snow Bell and two Ice Bell's together to Synchro Summon Template:Anime. Rin uses Winter Bell's effect, allowing her to target a Wind Witch monster in her graveyard and use its effect. She chooses Ice Bell and inflicts another 500 points of damage to Yugo. Rin ends her turn by setting a card. She then jumps on Wind Witch - Winter Bell and rides it down the stairs, with Yugo giving chase on his Duel Runner.
Yugo notes Rin isn't listening to him and wonders if Duel Academy did something to her whilst she was kidnapped, then he draws. Yugo Normal Summons Template:Anime and activates its effect, allowing him to Special Summon another Speedroid monster from his hand. He Special Summons the Tuner monster Template:Anime. He tunes his Tri-Eyed Dice with his Bamboo Horse to Synchro Summon Template:Anime. Yugo says to Rin about how much she loved the Dragon and a flashback shows Rin cheering on Yugo in a Turbo Duel back in the Synchro Dimension. Rin ignores him once again and activates her set card, Bewildering Wind. This negates Clear Wing's effect and halves its ATK points. Yugo questions why Rin reduced the monster to this state. The Doktor laughs and calls it ugly and goes on to explain to Leo Akaba that the Parasite Monster inside of Rin's brain is programmed to make them loyal to Leo alone. Leo acknowledges the job the Doktor has done, but warns him that they must not be harmed. The Doktor replies the brainwashed bracelet girls need ways to defend themselves. Leo watches as Yusho and Alexis make their way to the castle.
Meanwhile, on the Lancers speedboat, Yuya explains to his fellow Lancers about Yusho and why he is going to Duel Academy. Declan explains it's something to do with what Yusho said to him three years ago. Declan continues by saying he crossed the dimensions and found out what Leo Akaba was planning. He enlisted Yusho's help to stop Duel Academy, and Yusho agreed but went into Declan's teleporter without telling anyone. Declan adds that three years ago, he met a girl named Celina and that three years later, after meeting Yuya and Zuzu, a memory resurfaced. He speaks about Revival Zero. He explains he found two people in two files which belonged to Leo Akaba . One was Celina and the other was Yuri. He explains that Yuya is a part of Duel Academy's plan and that now that all the girls have been caught, Leo's plan can now move forward.
Back at the duel, Rin draws Template:Anime. She attacks Clear Wing with Winter - Bell but Yugo negates the attack by banishing Tri-Eyed Dice via its own effect. Rin said she knew this would happen and plays the Quick-play Spell Call of the Wind Witch, which lets her Special Summon a monster from her hand with a Level lower then a targeted monster. She Special Summons Level 1 Parasite Fusioner from her hand. Yugo questions how Rin obtained that monster. Rin replies that since Parasite Fusioner was Special summoned, she can Fusion Summon using monsters she controls or in her hand, including itself. She jumps off her Winter Bell and performs the Summon, bringing out the Fusion monster Template:Anime. Since Parasite Fusioner was used for a Fusion Summon, it equips itself to Crystal Bell. Rin lands on her new monster and continues to ride down the stairs.
Yugo questions if Rin is working for Duel Academy. The Doktor smiles and says she is, by her own accord even, and the Rin he knows is gone. Rin attacks Clear Wing Synchro Dragon with her monster, whose attack is strong enough to knock Yugo off his Duel Runner and makes him fall off the stairs, whilst taking the damage. Yugo's lifepoints are now reduced to 950.

Yugo lands on the ground as his Duel Runner is now smoking and damaged. He slams the ground as Rin floats down with Crystal Bell saying the duel isn't over. Yugo screams at Rin, asking her if she has forgotten about how they built the Duel Runner together. A flashback shows Rin and Yugo riding the Duel Runner in the Synchro Dimension. Rin ignores it with a cold tone, shocking Yugo. She activates her monster's effect, targeting Ice Bell in her grave and activating its effect, dealing 500 points of damage to Yugo. Yugo takes the hit once more and is knocked backwards.
Rin now lands on the ground, jumping off her monster and says Yugo's lifepoints is now at 450, his Duel Runner is destroyed and he has no chance of winning. She tells him to hurry up and surrender. Yugo gets up and says he doesn't know how to surrender and that it is due to his stubborn nature. He explains he has come this far and won't give up. He slams his duel disk onto his arm and vows to bring Rin back. He tells Rin to end her turn, which she does.
The Doktor laughs and says he is a stubborn boy. Yugo draws Template:Anime and Normal Summons it, then he activates the Spell Step on Shadow, which lets him target the Level 8 Crystal Bell and Special Summon a monster from his grave which originally came from the Extra Deck and has a level equal or less then the targeted monster, but its effects are negated. He resurrects Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, and tunes his two monsters to form Level 8 Template:Anime. Yugo attacks with his Crystal Wing and activates its effect: when it battles a level 5 or higher monster, it adds the opposing monster's ATK to its own, raising Crystal Wing's ATK to 5800. Yugo exclaims that a Fusion monster doesn't suit Rin as the attack continues.
Rin plays Crystal Bell's effect, allowing her to choose a monster in either player's graveyard and use its effect until the End Phase. She chooses Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, so now when a level 5 or higher monster activates its effect, she can negate that activation and destroy that monster. Yugo then responds by using Crystal Wing's effect which negates Crystal Bell's effect and destroys it. Rin looks annoyed, then responds by sending Parasite Fusioner to the grave to negate the destruction of her monster. Yugo then attacks Crystal Bell, destroying it and sending flying Rin backwards. Her lifepoints are reduced to 1000.
Yugo runs over to Rin and holds her, telling her to wake up. Rin speaks Yugo's name as he hugs her, rejoicing that Rin is back. Rin smiles, then says that when Crystal Bell is destroyed, she can Special Summon Winter Bell and Parasite Fusioner from her grave. Yugo looks at Rin, realizing that she is still brainwashed. Rin shoves Yugo away as she Special Summons the two monsters and then fuses them together to Fusion Summon a second Crystal Bell via Parasite Fusioner's effect. Parasite Fusioner equips itself to Crystal Bell once more. Yugo watches in disbelief.
Rin smiles as she prepares to win.
The Doktor says the Parasite monsters are even more stubborn than Yugo. Yugo looks at Rin, smiling in a dark aura, and wonders if the Parasite is controlling Rin. Rin uses Crystal Bell's effect once more to inflict 500 points of damage to Yugo, while grinning madly. Yugo takes the damage as he flies backwards, as his lifepoints hit 0 and loses the duel. Rin then hears the Doktor ordering her back to Duel Academy. Rin obeys and walks off, leaving an injured Yugo on the floor.
The Lancers have made their way to a mountain and are told they must climb it. The Lancers begin their ascent.

Turn 1: Rin
Rin activates "Wind-Calling Bell Chime", which lets her reveal a Level 4 or lower "Wind Witch" monster in her hand to Special Summon another copy of that monster from her Deck. She reveals "Template:Anime" and Special Summons another copy of it (1000/1000) in Attack Position. She Normal Summons the revealed "Ice Bell" (1000/1000). Rin activates the effect of each "Ice Bell", as they were Normal or Special Summoned this turn, inflicting 500 damage to Yugo for each (Yugo: 4000 → 3500 → 3000). As Rin controls two or more "Wind Witch" monsters, she Special Summons "Wind Witch - Snow Bell" (100/100) from her hand via its own effect, since she controls 2 or more WIND monsters. She tunes her two Level 3 "Ice Bells" with her Level 1 Tuner monster "Snow Bell" to Synchro Summon "Wind Witch - Winter Bell" (2400/2000) in Attack Position. Rin activates the effect of "Winter Bell", which allows it to copy the effect of a "Wind Witch" monster in the Graveyard until the End Phase. She targets "Ice Bell", and activates its effect. (Yugo: 3000 → 2500). Rin Sets a card.
Turn 2: Yugo
Yugo draws and subsequently Normal Summons "Template:Anime" (1100/1100). As it was Normal Summoned, he activates its effect, which lets him Special Summon a Level 4 or lower "Speedroid" monster from his hand, but only "Speedroid" monsters can attack this turn. He Special Summons "Template:Anime" (300/1500). He tunes his Level 4 "Bamboo Horse" with the Level 3 Tuner monster "Tri-Eyed Dice" to Synchro Summon "Template:Anime" (2500/2000). As Yugo Special Summoned a monster, Rin activates her face-down "Template:Anime", negating that monster's effects and halving its ATK ("Clear Wing": 2500 → 1250). Yugo Sets a card.
Turn 3: Rin
Rin draws "Template:Anime". "Winter Bell" attacks "Clear Wing", but Yugo activates the effect of the "Tri-Eyed Dice" in his Graveyard, banishing it to negate the attack. Rin activates the Quick-Play Spell Card "Call of the Wind Witch", which lets her Special Summon a monster from her hand with a lower Level than a "Wind Witch" she controls. She targets "Winter Bell" and Special Summons "Parasite Fusioner" (0/0). As it was Special Summoned, Rin activates its effect, which lets her Fusion Summon using it and a monster she controls or in her hand as Fusion Materials, and it can be substituted for any Fusion Material. After the Fusion Summon, "Parasite Fusioner" will be equipped to the Summoned monster; if that monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, "Parasite Fusioner" can be destroyed instead. She fuses "Winter Bell" and "Parasite Fusioner", treated as a "Wind Witch" monster to Fusion Summon "Template:Anime" (2800/2400) in Attack Position. "Crystal Bell" attacks and destroys "Clear Wing" (Yugo: 2500 → 950). Rin activates the effect of "Crystal Bell" to let it copy the effect of a "Wind Witch" monster in the Graveyard until the End Phase. Rin copies the effect of "Ice Bell" to inflict 500 damage to Yugo (Yugo: 950 → 450).
Turn 4: Yugo
Yugo draws and subsequently Normal Summons "Template:Anime" (100/100). He activates "Step on Shadow", which lets him Special Summon a monster from his Graveyard that was originally Special Summoned from the Extra Deck with a lower Level than the Level of an opponent's monster. He targets "Crystal Bell" and Special Summons "Clear Wing" (2500/2000). Yugo tunes the Level 7 "Clear Wing" with the Level 1 Tuner monster "Red-Eyed Dice" to Synchro Summon "Template:Anime" in Attack Position (3000/2500). "Crystal Wing" attacks "Crystal Bell" and as "Crystal Wing" is battling an opponent's Level 5 or higher monster, Yugo activates the effect of "Crystal Wing", increasing its ATK by the ATK of the attack target during damage calculation ("Crystal Wing" 3000 → 5800). At this moment, Rin activates the first effect of "Crystal Bell" to let it copy the effect of a monster in either player's Graveyard. Rin chooses "Clear Wing" and activates the effect: as the effect of a Level 5 or higher monster on the field was activated, the effect is negated, the monster destroyed and "Crystal Bell" will gain ATK equal to that monster's ATK. As a monster activated its effect, Yugo activates the effect of "Crystal Wing" to negate that monster's effect and destroy it. As "Crystal Bell" would be destroyed, Rin destroys "Parasite Fusioner" instead. The effect and attack continue and "Crystal Bell" is destroyed. (Rin: 4000 → 1000).
As "Crystal Bell" was destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Rin activates its effect, letting her Special Summon a "Winter Bell" in her Graveyard and a Level 4 or lower monster from her Graveyard. She Special Summons "Winter Bell" (2400/2000) and "Parasite Fusioner" (0/0). As "Parasite Fusioner" was Special Summoned, Rin activates its effect, letting her Fusion Summon using it and monsters she controls or in her hand as Fusion Material, then equip itself to the Summoned monster. She fuses "Winter Bell" with "Parasite Fusioner", treated as a "Wind Witch" monster by its own effect, to Fusion Summon a second copy of "Crystal Bell" (2800/2400) in Attack Position. She activates the effect of "Crystal Bell" to copy the effect of the "Ice Bell" in her Graveyard, inflicting 500 damage to Yugo (Yugo: 450 → 0).
