"Guardians of the Sun and Moon" is the one-hundred and sixteenth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime. It first aired in Japan on July 31, 2016.
Yugo learns that Rin is being held captive on one of Duel Academy's towers and heads towards there immediately. Standing before him is the "Keeper of the Eastern Tower". At the same time, the "Keeper of the Western Tower" stands before Kite who is trying to save Lulu.

Diana activates "Polymerization", fusing "Guardian Baou" and "Penumbral Soldier Lady" in her hand to Fusion Summon "Moon Protector". She then activate the effect of "Moon Protector" to Special Summon 1 "Protector's Shield Token" in Defense Position. Diana sets a card.
As long as Diana controls a "Protector's Shield Token", "Moon Protector" cannot be targeted for an attack.
Turn 2: Kite
Kite Normal Summons "Cipher Wing", as he control "Cipher Wing", he Special Summons "Cipher Wing" from his hand with its own effect. Kite then activate "Double Exposure" and its effect to target and double the Level of 2 Level 6 or less monster with the same name he controls. Kite targets 2 "Cipher Wings". Kite overlay his 2 "Cipher Wings" to Xyz Summon "Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon". Diana activates her set "Protector Adoration" by targeting "Cipher Dragon": That monster's effect will be negated, it can attack all "Protector's Shield Token" she controls, and she Special Summons 2 "Protector's Shield Tokens" in Defense Position.
Kite attacks and destroys the first "Protector's Shield Token" with his "Cipher Dragon". As "Protector's Shield Token is destroyed" by opponent's monster, Diana activates the effect of "Moon Protector" to target and decrease the ATK of the monster that destroyed her token by 800, and she gains 800 LP if she did. ("Cipher Dragon" 3000 → 2200)(Diana 4000 → 4800). Kite attacks and destroys the 2 remaining tokens, with the effect of "Moon Protector" activate each time. Apollo activates "Polymerization", fusing "Guardian Tryce" and "Luminous Soldier" in his hand to Fusion Summon "Sun Protector". He then activate the effect of "Sun Protector" to Special Summon 1 "Protector's Shield Token" in Defense Position. Apollo sets a card.
As long as Apollo controls a "Protector's Shield Token", "Sun Protector" cannot be targeted for an attack.
Turn 2: Yugo
Yugo activates "Speedroid Scratch" by discarding 1 card to add 1 "Speedroid" monster to his hand. He discards "Speedroid Den-Den Daiko Duke" to add "Speedroid Double Yoyo" to his hand, and subsequently Normal Summon it and activate its effect as it is normal summoned, Yugo can target 1 Level 3 or less "Speedroid" monster in his Graveyard and Special Summon it. He targets "Den-Den Daiko" and Special Summon it. He then tune his "Double Yoyo" into his "Den-Den Daiko" to Synchro Summon "Clear Wing Synchro Dragon". Apollo activates his set "Protector Adoration" by targeting "Synchro Dragon": That monster's effect will be negated, it can attack all "Protector's Shield Token" he controls, and he Special Summons 2 "Protector's Shield Tokens" in Defense Position.

Yugo activates the effect of "Speedroid OMK Come" in his hand as he take damage this turn to Special Summon it and activates its other effect. He can Synchro Summon using monster he controls. He tune his "Clear Wing" into "OMK Come" to Synchro Summon "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon". The last effect of "OMK Come" activates as it is sent to the graveyard for Synchro Summon. Yugo draws a card, and reveal it: If it's a monster card, Yugo must discard it, and 1 monster he controls gains ATK equal to the discard monster's ATK. He draws "Speedroid Ohajikid", so it is discarded and "Crystal Wing" gains ATK equal to "Ohajikid's" ATK - 1000 ("Crystal Wing" 3000 → 4000). "Crystal Wing" attacks "Sun Protector". "Crystal Wing" activates its effect to gain ATK equal to its attack target's ATK as it's battling Level 5 or higher monster - 2400 ("Crystal Wing" 4000 → 6400). "Sun Protector" is destroyed (Apollo 4000 → 0). Yugo wins.
