The 17-Year Old Vow: The Destiny Guided by Momentum is the fifty sixth episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.[1]
Yusei, after defeating Kiryu, arrives to the Old Enerdy where Rudger awaits. Yusei and Rudger confront each other once again face to face in a Duel. Rudger, who wants to settle any unfinished bussiness regarding Professor Fudo, choses to begin the Duel at the place where the Enerdy is swelling out.
Summary
With Kiryu and "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" defeated, all the Sattelite residents are returned. Just then, Rudger uses one of his spiders to possess Trudge and talk to Yusei, coaxing him to find him at Old Momentum. Lazar is seen talking to a mysterious figure. Rex Goodwin leads an army to confront Rudger, but they are all subdued by his spider's attacks. Rudger is shown with a bionic arm, and challenges Goodwin to a Duel. Yusei, Luna, Leo and Trudge traverse down the crater, whilst Crow, who notices the army helicopters, takes a different route. Yusei encounters Rudger on a bridge, who activates an explosion, causing a flux of Momentum to appear underneath them. They start to Duel and manages to attack Rudger with "Junk Warrior", although this in turn allows Rudger to Summon "Earthbound Immortal Uru" and manages to bring Yusei's Life Points down to 100.

Rudger sets 1 card and ends his turn. Yusei discards Level Stealer to Special Summon Quick Synchron (ATK:700) Yusei Special Summons from the Graveyard Level Stealer with its effect. Quick Synchron (LV:4) Level Stealer (LV:1)(ATK:600) Yusei treats Quick Synchron's name as Junk Synchron and uses both to Synchro Summon Junk Warrior (ATK:2300). Junk Warrior attacks Rudger directly. (Rudger:1700). Rudger activates Immortal Heartbeat to Special Summon 2 monsters from his deck. Yusei sets 1 card and ends his turn. Rudger activates the Field Spell, Spider Web and tributes his 2 monsters to Normal Summon Earthbound Immortal Uru (ATK:3000). Earthbound Immortal Uru attacks directly. Yusei activates Synchro Barrier to tribute Junk Warrior to reduce Battle Damage to 0. Rudger sets 2 cards and activates Destiny Trigger, 9Rudger discards a card, if Yusei draws the same type, his Life Points are halved) discards a monster and ends his turn. Yusei draws a trap and Normal Summons Speed Warrior (ATK:900). Speed Warrior doubles its attack points to 1800 with its effect and attacks Rudger directly. Rudger activates Earthbound Halberd to destroy Speed Warrior and deal half its attack points to Yusei as damage (Yusei:3100). Yusei sets 1 card and ends his turn. Earthbound Immortal Uru attacks Yusei directly. Yusei activates Spirit Force to reduce battle damage to 0 and add 1 card with 1500 or less defense from his Graveyard to his hand.
