Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 046

Dungeion Dice Monsters - Part 1, known as The Mysterious Transfer Student - Ryuji Otogi in the Japanese version, is the forty-sixth episode of Yu-Gi-Oh!. It aired in Japan on March 13, 2001, and in the US on November 2, 2002.

Major Events

  • Joey duels Duke.
  • If Duke wins, Joey becomes his servant for one week. If Joey wins, Duke must close down his shop.
  • This Duel uses Duelist Kingdom rules.
  • Both characters Duel using new decks with random cards from Thousand Eyes Bible (Pharaoh's Servant in English game) only.

Duke's turn
Duke Normal Summons "Oni Tank T-34" in Attack Position (1400 ATK / 1700 DEF).

Joey's turn
Joey Normal Summons "Sword Hunter" in Attack Position (2450 ATK / 1700 DEF). "Sword Hunter" attacks then destroys "Oni Tank T-34" (Duke: 2000 → 950 Life Points). "Sword Hunter" equips the destroyed monster to himself to increase his ATK by 200 ("Sword Hunter": 2450 → 2650 ATK).

Duke's turn
Duke Devlin Normal Summons "Dark Bat" in Defense Position (1000 ATK / 1000 DEF) then Sets 1 card.

Joey's turn
Joey Normal Summons "Mad Sword Beast" in Attack Position (1400 ATK / 1200 DEF). "Mad Sword Beast" attacks then destroys Dark Bat; inflicting damage to Duke's Life Points because of its piercing effect (Duke: 950 → 550 Life Points). Duke activates Trap Card "Michizure" to destroy "Sword Hunter".

Duke's turn
Duke Sets 1 card then Normal Summons "Spikebot" in Attack Position (1800 ATK / 1700 DEF). "Spikebot" attacks then destroys "Mad Sword Beast" (Joey: 2000 → 1600 Life Points).

Joey's turn
Joey Normal Summons "Goblin Attack Force" in Attack Position (2300 ATK / 0 DEF). "Goblin Attack Force" attacks then destroys "Spikebot" ("Duke: 550 → 50 Life Points). "Goblin Attack Force" switches to Defense Position after it attacked.

Duke's turn
Duke Normal Summons "Gradius" in Attack Position (1200 ATK / 800 DEF) then activates Quick-Play Magic Card "Limiter Removal" to double Gradius's ATK ("Gradius": 1200 → 2400 ATK). Next, he activates Equip Magic Card "Fairy Meteor Crush" then equips it to "Gradius"; allowing it to trample. "Gradius" attacks then destroys "Goblin Attack Force" (Joey: 1600 → 0 Life Points).
