Ghost Girl is a series of Level 3 female Tuner monsters with 0 ATK and 1800 DEF and different Attributes from each other. With the exception of the Psychic "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit", all monsters of the series released so far are Zombie monsters.
Design
Appearance
As suggested by the name, they are spirit-like little girls, wearing robes that look like typically far-east traditional clothing.
“Red Blossoms from Underroot” has a relation to the archetype, due to her strong resemblance to “Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries”.
Etymology
In OCG, each card has a name with a double meaning. For example, the Japanese name of "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" (幽鬼うさぎ Yuki Usagi) literally means "Ghost Ogre Rabbit" but is humorously pronounced like "Snow Rabbit" (雪兎 Yuki Usagi). The English names consist of both meanings. The puns used here are similar to those used for the names of the Plant Princesses.

---|---|---|---|---|

Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit | Yuki Usagi | Oni | Ghost Ogre | Snow Rabbit |
Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries | Fuyu Sakura | Drifting Ghost | Grim Reaper | Winter Cherry Blossom |

Playing Style
The members of this series are Hand traps that have anti-meta Quick Effects designed to disrupt the opponent's plays. Being hand traps, their effects require that the player discards them as a cost. "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" is the only one that can be sent from the field too. Each of the monsters revealed so far interacts with a different place, as highlighted below:
Monster | Booster Pack | Attribute | Effect |
---|---|---|---|
Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit | CROS | LIGHT |
Destroys a face-up card on the field whose effect have been activated. |
Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries | SHVI | DARK |
Banishes all copies of a monster from the opponent's Extra Deck, after a copy of that monster have been revealed from its owner's Extra Deck. |
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring | MACR | FIRE |
Negates an effect that would either add a card from the Main Deck to the hand, Special Summon a monster from the Main Deck and/or send a card from the Main Deck to the Graveyard. |
Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion | FLOD | EARTH |
Negates any effect that would move a card out of the Graveyard (except effects that place Spell/Trap Cards into the field, even when those cards are treated as monsters). |
Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood | DANE | WATER |
Each time your opponent Special Summons an Effect monster(s) during the Main Phase or Battle Phase, you gain LP equal to the current ATK of that monster(s). (If you do not gain LP with this effect, halve your LP during the End Phase) |
Evening Crescent & Autumn Shower | ETCO | WIND |
If your opponent Special Summon a face-up Effect monster(s), Target 1 of those face-up monsters; negate its effects until the end of this turn. (if that face-up monster leaves the field this turn, the player who controlled it takes damage equal to its original ATK). |
