Virus Cards (ウィルス Wirusu) are a manga-only card type, alongside Monster, Spell, Traps, and Trap-Spell Cards. and were placed in the Spell & Trap Card Zone.
These cards were changed to Normal Spell Cards in the Japanese anime and Normal Trap Cards in the OCG, TCG, and the dubbed anime.
One Field Virus Card, "Alpha-Wave Emission", appeared in Yu-Gi-Oh! R.
Seto Kaiba uses some of the Virus Cards in the anime and manga.
