Playing Style[]

The strategy takes advantage of the latest update to pendulums in master rule 4 where they are placed in the leftmost and rightmost spell card zones instead of the pendulum zones.

They are a column based archetype, moving each of their monsters not just from monster zone to monster zone but from the spell and trap zones to the main monsters and getting effects from this action.

A portion of them gain effects on your opponent's monsters on certain columns as well.

Several "Vaylantz" monsters share common Pendulum Effects, all of which are once-per-turn:

  • Level 4 or lower (Main Deck): During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon this card to your Main Monster Zone in its same column, also you cannot Special Summon non-"Vaylantz" monsters for the rest of this turn, except from the Extra Deck.
  • Level 5 or higher (Main Deck): If [corresponding Field Spell] is in a Field Zone or if you control a [same Attribute] "Vaylantz" monster: You can Special Summon this card to your Main Monster Zone in its same column.
  • Fusion Pendulum: You can activate 1 of these effects; ● Special Summon this card to your Main Monster Zone in its same column. ● Move 1 monster in your Main Monster Zone to an adjacent (horizontal) Monster Zone.
