Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth

Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth is part of Deep Sea because it includes (しん) (かい) --hanmac (talkcontribs) 14:54, December 20, 2019 (UTC)

Yet it only works with Fish while the Deep Sea cards work with Sea-Serpent... Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 15:06, December 20, 2019 (UTC)
Shining Abyss is a Light/Fairy, but is also part of the Abyss Archetype due to Japanese name (and thus, no synergy at all with the rest of the members, compared to Coelacanth who can do some combo with Prima Donna). --Omega-003 (talkcontribs) 15:15, December 20, 2019 (UTC)
Yes but according to the TCG it's called Abyss- not Abyss. Or are you going to be like User:GameKing1993 and his obsession with Doron being a Drone card just because its OCG name is the same as the other Drones? Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 15:21, December 20, 2019 (UTC)
Quote from Magician (archetype):
Due to their Japanese names, a number of older cards, such as "Time Wizard" and "Night Wing Sorceress", also fall into this archetype. Also, several older cards, such as the "Dark Magician" archetype and "Magician of Faith", include "Magician" in their English names but are not part of this archetype. However, because TCG and OCG support for this archetype only works on Pendulum Monsters and Continuous Spell Cards, neither have been an issue in the English version.

MasterMarik and I've already agreed what it should be. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 22:12, January 12, 2020 (UTC)

Willlux Reverts

Going through all my edits and undoing them is pretty pathetic Marik (yes I know its you), we can keep this feud going on or just bury the hatchet here, it's up to you. Willlux (talkcontribs) 16:12, January 19, 2020 (UTC)

Thinking I'm MasterMarik is an insult to him. I'm someone completely different. I'm always making corrections on this wiki when things that have been accepted for ever suddenly get changed just because someone thinks they know better without looking at the evidence. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 16:15, January 19, 2020 (UTC)

So you just happened to change two of the only edits I've made right after each other by complete random chance? That would be quite the coincidence. Willlux (talkcontribs) 16:20, January 19, 2020 (UTC)

No I follow many people, including Energy X, MasterMarik, BlazeWu at least. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 16:23, January 19, 2020 (UTC)

Same old discussion and edit. Also please stop calling each other vandals because it is simply a matter of opinion. Energy X 17:26, January 19, 2020 (UTC)

Like the last issue with the guy over the grammar, please talk things over first, then we can do appropriate action. Energy X 18:05, January 19, 2020 (UTC)
I would happily do that. But shouldn't it be set back to its original state before the initial edit in question by Willlux was made? Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 18:07, January 19, 2020 (UTC)

No dude. If you don't like an edit, discuss it with the person, getting a third opinion if ye cannot reach an agreement, rather than just reverting it and insisting that you are right. Who is to say that the original is more likely to be right than the edit? In fact, it's the opposite as things generally improve over time. Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 11:16, April 21, 2020 (UTC) Btw, "gunna" is not a misspelling of "going to". It is clearly a conscience use of a bit of slang. "Gunna" is how the word is pronounced in the UK anyway. Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 12:50, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Thought so. You're using British grammar. We use American grammar and spellings. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 12:53, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
Says who? I'm allowed to use my own spellings on talk pages. English grammar is the same across the board. So my edits are still correct for American English. Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 12:56, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
Guess you've never heard British people say that Americans don't speak English, they speak American. Also, assuming British grammar is universal is rather ignorant. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 13:02, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
No, I have. Still, there are grammatical standards which apply to English universally. Whether they are adopted is another matter.

Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 13:05, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

So by not "adopting" them we have created our own standards. Thereby making yours not universal. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 13:11, May 5, 2020 (UTC)#
First of all, you mean "yours". You have created your own standards. Check American grammatical guides and you will see instruction on the subjunctive. If one were bothered enough to check, one would see that I am correct.

Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 13:14, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

But what is the most current and up-to-date standard? They are constantly in flux. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 13:15, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Here's one from 2016. However, perhaps more suitable for you would be: Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 13:27, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

So a 4 year old source from a UK site? Proves my point that you're using outdated British grammar and not current American grammar. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 13:29, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
Then find a more recent source yourself. Even you knew anything about how languages change, you would know that it takes centuries for grammar to change; grammar is the most stable part of a language.

Anything to avoid admitting that you're wrong, hey? Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 13:35, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

And why the heck are you trying to instruct me on my grammar when you cannot even distinguish between "your" and "you're"? Get outta here. Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 13:36, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
Looks like you can't spell language. What's your excuse? Mine is typing fast while fighting monsters in Phantasy Star Online 2 on the JP servers. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 13:40, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
Mine is not wanting to waste any more time speaking to you and instructing you in grammar for free.

Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 13:42, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Also it's "eh" not "hey". And grammar may take centuries in the past but with the flow of information in this day and age, it's changing all the time. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 13:43, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
Don't try and correct slang for crying out loud. My word choice is my matter. Whatever man.

Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 13:49, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Don't use slang then if you don't know how to properly use it. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 13:50, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
Don't tell me how to use my own language. My slang would be perfectly acceptable in my circles.

Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 13:52, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Well this being a wiki that the world can access, your circle just got a whole lot larger. In the greater part of the world, we use the Canadian style "eh". Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 13:54, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Edit Warring

While I'm inactive, I need you to stop edit warring of all kinds: That is, even if you believe you have the better argument, or you even are clearly in the right, you do not continue edit warring.

That said, your solution is to warn Admin or Content Mods. Generally Igor, Supratim or Marik. They will intervene it for you. If all else fail, I can step in too if you message me on my wall or ping me in Discord.

I'll say that this behavior of your has costed us four potential editors. Don't increase this count anymore.0123456789 The GreatだいなるNumbersナンバーズ 18:46, January 25, 2020 (UTC)

I do, but I would rather have the page set back before it is locked. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 04:50, January 26, 2020 (UTC)
Repeating that attitude more than once is what cause edit war. You may use undo once in that case: The second time you feel the need to use it because the other side use undo, it's time to call the mods.
Not saying you're the wrong here, but I really need you to stop that attitude. 0123456789 The GreatだいなるNumbersナンバーズ 08:46, January 26, 2020 (UTC)

Card table update

I have made a new template that replaces the old Card set table template. The new one uses a much lighter code syntax, and there's no redundant "table inside the table" element, either. So from now on, when you encounter a card page, it would be great if you could update it. Same goes for any new future pages, too. Energy X 15:21, February 1, 2020 (UTC)

I am not so convinced that Cronograph and Astrograph Sorcerers should be included. It's just that they have a much more different appearance than the Magicians, and the resemblance towards Sevens Road Magician/Witch is a bit of a stretch. Energy X 22:52, February 19, 2020 (UTC)

They follow the attack schemes of "Dark Magician" and "Dark Magician Girl" though. Each series seems to pay homage in its own way back to these two either in looks, stats, or simply master/apprentice. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 12:54, February 20, 2020 (UTC)

Silent Paladin Relationships

Pitifulheartles, Silent Paladin's design and her ability in both swordsmanship and magic are amalgamation of Silent Swordsman's and Silent Magician's. They do not indicate some sort of relationship between both monsters to the point they have aforementioned monster as their daughter. The trio are members of the Silent archetype, nothing more.

The claim of this monster being a daughter of Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician is too incredible, not to mention too fanciful as well. Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 06:19, April 13, 2020 (UTC)

Yes it does. They both taught their daughter their skills. Also she has Magician's complexion and Swordsman's hair color. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 11:13, April 13, 2020 (UTC)
Oh, OK then. But that still don't explain the effect of adding either one of the child counterparts of her "parents" (Silent Swordsman LV3 or Silent Magician LV4) from the deck to the hand, and she is several years older if a thorough comparison is made on their artworks. It would be extremely odd if either or both of her "parents"' child counterparts is/are summoned to the field alongside their "adult" daughter XD... Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 12:06, April 13, 2020 (UTC)
Why would you add the non LVs or the adults when you can't use them? Best to start at the base. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 12:09, April 13, 2020 (UTC)
Then, this card effect will be pretty useless, then... There's another. This is the only Silent monster that does not have her own child counterpart. Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 12:24, April 13, 2020 (UTC)

Different Monsters

"So you think "Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz" isn't the son of "Gishki Avance" and "Gishki Emilia"?" I will address it, shortly. Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 07:14, April 14, 2020 (UTC)

1. Different monsters, different archetypes, different storylines, different circumstances, different symbolisms. There are reasons I am against the idea of a... kinship between both Silent monsters. The Silent duo are Yugi Muto's monsters. They symbolize Yugi's growth, maturity and improvement in duelling skills to the point he has successfully defeats Atem, his aibou and mentor in their final duel. This can be seen as both monsters begin as children with Yugi's resemblance. As both level up and evolve into their own adult counterpart, they gain an increase in power (ATK/DEF). Both major around the apprentice-surpassing-mentor element, not typical warrior-sorceress romances in fictions and games. You see, they are based on Yugi Muto himself and his process of being mature and independence. Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 07:14, April 14, 2020 (UTC)

2. Silent Paladin is both Silent monsters amalgamation. The designer was likely inspired by both, so he/she decided to create a Warrior-Spellcaster hybrid Silent monster. BTW, she is yet to appear in manga or anime adaptations. Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 00:35, April 14, 2020 (UTC)

Now about the speculation that Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz being the son of Gishki Avance and Gishki Emilia. I went to the monsters' pages and I have read Shurit's Trivia. The monsters belong in Nekroz archetype, right? I accept the idea that Shurit is their son since there are cards that depict both of her speculated parents being together (last seen in Sacred Serpent's Wake) and the fact that they belong in the same lore. OK, those make sense. Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 07:14, April 14, 2020 (UTC)

However, the speculation Silent Paladin being the daughter of Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician is problematic. Silent Paladin is a young woman, while Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz is a young boy. Excerpt from Shurit's Trivia: "The duo are also featured on several other "Nekroz" cards, implying that the archetype represents the pair's new family after some time has passed." Look here, bud. The idea of Silent Paladin being the daughter of Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician is possible if there are cards (Monster, Spell and Trap) that depict such possibility, as shown in Shurit being the son of Gishki Avance and Gishki Emilia given the existence of cards that make such idea possible. "Aesthetically similar", "young age" and "general appearance" do not make valid evidences given the fact that lots of monsters possesss such traits, e.g. the young Dark Magician Girl is aesthetically similar in general appearance to Dark Magician, the young Jack's Knight is aesthetically similar in general appearance to Queen's Knight and King's Knight etc. Kazuki Takahashi designed both Silent monsters based on their owner, Yugi Muto himself to reflect his growth poetically. Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 11:19, April 14, 2020 (UTC)

Grammar on GX 001 page

Greetings fellow Wikia user,

I am an English teacher with a sound knowledge in grammar and I can confirm that I am correct in thinking that the sentence should be "He wishes he were already enrolled." "Were" here is not representative of the past tense, but of the subjunctive. "Was" however, always refers to the past, and as you rightly pointed out, the article is written in the present tense. "Were" is therefore correct, as the 3rd person subjunctive present conjugation of 'to be'. The reason that you think the answer be "was" is because this is a mistake which native English speakers often make, and so to your ear, it probably sounds natural, however, it is nonetheless a mistake.

I would appreciate if you ceded this point, per my expertise.

Nah it's for you. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 16:36, April 15, 2020 (UTC)

How arrogant are you to think that you know better than me, when I expended the effort to explain it to you?

When your explanation does not suffice for your solution. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 16:38, April 15, 2020 (UTC)

The only reason my explanation does not suffice is because it does not get into your stubborn and arrogant head. You think that you must be right since you are the author of your incorrect supposition.

You were disrespecting me before I insullted you due to your clear arrogance and ignorance. Though I'm schooling you, you're not my student.

Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 17:16, April 15, 2020 (UTC)

Yes let them be as they should be before your changes were made. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 17:17, April 15, 2020 (UTC)

You're actually a child (that would explain your shitty grammar). You don't know how to have a conversation as an adult. I could easily explain why each of your presuppositions about grammar are wrong. You're a software engineer, not an English teacher. STAY IN YOUR LANE.

Apostrophe ('s)

Is apostrophe ('s) allowed when linking? Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 13:17, April 15, 2020 (UTC)

Hello. Concerning Down Force.

1- The card clearly states フィールドか離れる not ゲームから除外. This means leaves the field, and NOT banished/removed from the game. This is Japanese Yugioh card terminology that has been used forever. Concerning the fact that the card in the episode that was negated by Down Force itself said ゲームから除外 (banish), had Down Force wanted to specify only banishing, it would have used the same term. Instead it used the broader protection term フィールドか離れる (leave the field). So no, Down Force negates effects that cause a monster to leave the field not cards that banish a monster.

2- Down Force blatantly says モンスター1っ体, which means 1 monster, NOT monsters and NOT face-up specifically. Funduelist (talkcontribs) 13:34, April 15, 2020 (UTC)

Although the user has been blocked, I do must note the lack of civility. An edit like this looks genuine and okay, so why did you revert it? You also know too well that one should not go into an edit war, but to leave an authority to look into the issue. Energy X 17:45, April 15, 2020 (UTC)

It didn't sound right. And I know we don't like edit wars but I always get an itch to try and keep it the way it was before until an admin addresses it rather than leave it in its current state. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 17:47, April 15, 2020 (UTC)
Well, explain then what was wrong with that edit, at least. Energy X 18:07, April 15, 2020 (UTC)
Excessive things. ". In addition" is fine rather than ", in addition". We don't need "for him to" since "and" suffices as it continues from the previous part of the sentence. Lastly the classic who vs whom. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 18:15, April 15, 2020 (UTC)
To play the devil's advocate, I think he was right on the following points:
  1. He wishes he was already enrolled VS He wishes he were already enrolled
    • This is the subjunctive mood. The verb changes when describing a hypothetical scenario. See the lyrics for "You're Not Me" for example; "If I were you", rather than "If I was you".
  2. Tania, who Bastion falls in love with VS Tania, whom Bastion falls in love with
    • Whether to use "who" or "whom" depends on which person is doing the verb. Since it's Bastion that falls in love, not Tania, it's "whom".
  3. he did not act arrogant VS he did not act arrogantly
    • "Act" is a verb. It should be described with an adverb, not an adjective.
      • Actually, I think this one was right originally; "act arrogant". Since it's describing what he acted as rather than the manner of his acting. Compare with "act bad" VS "act badly" (act as a bad person VS be bad at acting). -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:31, April 18, 2020 (UTC)
  4. which every other member, save Sartorius did VS which every other member, save Sartorius, did
    • The comma makes sense. "which every other member did" is the original phrase. "save Sartorius" is the modification (appositive).
  5. did not need to be defeated and snap out of the brainwashing VS did not need to be defeated for him to snap out of the brainwashing
    • Both are correct. But the second at least clarifies that the defeat causes the release from the brainwashing. The first wording could be read as "defeating" and "snapping out of brainwashing" are things that need to be done separately.
Deltaneos (talk) 20:59, April 17, 2020 (UTC)

Thanks Deltaneos for backing me up here. I already explained the grammar behind the subjunctive sentence, and he failed to accept it, thinking he know best. Your example with the verb "act" is misguided, since "act" has two senses: one sense is "to put on the persona of another person or character", the other sense is "to behave" (cf., "to act up"="to be misbehaving"). The sense used in the sentence at hand is the "to behave" sense, and therefore, an adverb is required, to describe how the person is behaving, and not an adjective, which would instead fit for the other sense.

PS, song lyrics are not proof of what is correct grammar. The best source would be a grammar guide.

Thanks, but I have no idea why he did that after I talked to him while we are on a different wiki but if he attacks me here again have the admins permablock him okay? Flashimmer (talkcontribs) 18:22, April 17, 2020 (UTC)

By the way, what's the other wiki? Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 18:23, April 17, 2020 (UTC)

The MLP FIM wiki that's all. Flashimmer (talkcontribs) 18:28, April 17, 2020 (UTC)

I didn't say you can deal with him on the MLP wiki just deal with him here on this wiki instead. Flashimmer (talkcontribs) 18:37, April 17, 2020 (UTC)

I happen to like the MLP wiki site I'm on, it's not dangerous but it's your opinion and we have to respect each others opinions by keeping things to ourselves about what we like and what we don't like okay? Flashimmer (talkcontribs) 18:48, April 17, 2020 (UTC)

Nah, just not a fan of the "brony" culture but I'm all for people being themselves. Don't plan on stopping anyone unless they are assholing a select few. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 18:51, April 17, 2020 (UTC)

Thank you but language please I don't like the "A" word and still just stay away from the wiki that I'm on and like about okay? Flashimmer (talkcontribs) 19:02, April 17, 2020 (UTC)

World Legacy Lore

I'm really trying to get a full understanding of the world legacy lore from top to bottom. The more I figure out the more questions I get left with. Can we get into a discussion covering the details of the lore? From what I've heard Pitifulheartles is the person to talk to. JamesClymer (talkcontribs) 13:51, April 20, 2020 (UTC)

What would you like to know? Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 13:52, April 20, 2020 (UTC)

Instead of talking with other users, you still revert their edits. This behavior has not been addressed for some time, hence the block for three days. As said before, there is a matter of civility with other users that has to be maintained. Energy X 07:40, April 21, 2020 (UTC)

Great to see some justice at last. Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 11:10, April 21, 2020 (UTC)

Unnecessary, bud... Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 11:20, April 21, 2020 (UTC)

Perhaps, but my ordeal with him was rather infuriating, so I find the current state of affairs satisfying. Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 11:33, April 21, 2020 (UTC)

Unsupported Claims

Brother, I have restored the changes made by Malikishak91 in Silent Paladin's Trivia and have them rephrased. I have my reason to do so.

The claims that Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician are couples and have a daughter, Silent Paladin are unsupported by the OCG/TCG lores or any reliable materials. As I told Malikishak91, you can't base your claims simply by their appearances and age differences. You must provide evidences if such claims are true. I have informed the admins and MasterMarik about the changes.

"A paladin is a sword fighter who also uses magic". No, brother. At least historically. A paladin is any of the twelve peers of Charlemagne's court, of whom the Count Palatine was the chief. Alternatively, a knight renowned for heroism and chivalry. You see, there are monsters capable of using both sword and sorcery such as Dark Magician Knight, Breaker the Magical Warrior et cetera, and they are not paladins. However, there are role-playing games portraying paladins as wielders of sword and holy magic, namely Dungeons and Dragons and World of Warcraft.

"Another indication of this is from its first effect of adding either "Silent Swordsman LV3" or "Silent Magician LV4" to the owner's hand". Silent Paladin was created as their support.

Supports: Silent Swordsman LV3, Silent Magician LV4, LIGHT

Supports archetypes: LV

If the developers intend for a relationship between Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician and then they have a daughter, Silent Paladin, they will produce cards depicting those. So simple, brother. SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 07:17, April 22, 2020 (UTC)

There's no need to repeat of the discussion of Silent Paladin trivia, I suppose. But what should be reminded that there is not much basis for the proof, more like an assumption. Energy X 22:06, April 25, 2020 (UTC)
Sadly, my reasonings fell into deaf ears (facepalm). But, thanks for backing me up, Energy X. SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 06:49, April 27, 2020 (UTC)
Guess you never noticed the word "possibly" then. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 11:06, April 27, 2020 (UTC)
My "possibly" is that the artist designed her based on SS and SM, that's why she's aesthetically similar to the duo. Nothing more. SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 06:49, April 28, 2020 (UTC)
It's a strong one though. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 22:10, April 25, 2020 (UTC)
I will give some examples from other monsters:
Claim no 1: Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz is the son of Gishki Avance and Gishki Emilia.
  • His hair is a layered combination of the white and red hair of Avance and Emilia, respectively. He also has one blue eye (like Avance) and one red eye (like Emilia).
  • Avance and Emilia were last seen in the conclusion of the Duel Terminal storyline (seen in Sacred Serpent's Wake), looking off into the distance together as the last survivors of the war. The duo are also featured on several other Nekroz cards, implying that the archetype represents the pair's new family after some time has passed.
Claim no 2: Gishki Noellia is the former foster mother of the orphaned Gishki Avance, Gishki Ariel, Gishki Emilia, Winda, Priestess of Gusto, Caam, Serenity of Gusto and Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto after the war with the Fabled after the Ice Barrier tribe unleashed Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier crushing the Fabled and ending the war with huge casualties.
Now we discuss those 3 Silent monsters.
Claim no 1: Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician are couples.
  • No cards depicting that.
Claim no 2: Silent Paladin is their daughter, given her similar appearances, clothings and gears.
  • No cards depicting that.
Claim no 3: They teach both swordsmanship and magic to their daughter.
Claim number 2 is Paladin herself. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 00:51, April 26, 2020 (UTC)
You overlooked the claims no 1 and 3. SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 06:51, April 28, 2020 (UTC)
Did I? All it takes is 1 disprove to throw your argument out of whack. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 11:07, April 28, 2020 (UTC)
Yes, you did. I already gave examples on Shurit and Gishki Noellia, but you haven't got my points,, 'coz you are obsessed with the idea of a romance between the monsters. SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 05:33, April 29, 2020 (UTC)
(Sighing deeply) SmartestManAlive made himself clear. What he meant is, the designer created Silent Paladin based on Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician. That's the reason she resembles both of them. It is not that far-fetched too assumed that the designer was inspired by both Silent monsters. One is a sword-wielding Warrior and one is a magic-channelling Spellcaster, so the designer created a monster that capable of utilizing both, a paladin. You see: Swordsman, Magician, Paladin; Warrior, Spellcaster, Fairy. In RPGs, namely Dungeons and Dragons and World of Warcraft, paladins are warriors capable of using holy/divine magic. Yu-Gi-Oh! in certain aspects are influenced by RPGs. Another SmartestManAlive's point is, as he has provided the explanations on Shurit being the son of Avance and Emilia, if Silent Paladin is indeed their daughter, we already see the cards showing such possibilities. That what he meant by OCG/TCG lores. Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 06:47, April 26, 2020 (UTC)
  • Paladin: sword.
    • Swordsman: It's a sword.
    • Magician: Looks like a sword version of Magician's rod.
  • Paladin: outfit
    • Magician: Looks like Magician's robes. Also hairpiece on ponytail is quite similar to Magician's hat ornament.
    • Swordsman: Armored version of Magician's robes. Similar knee armor, boots, and gloves.
  • Paladin: body.
    • Magician: complexion
    • Swordsman: hair color and right eye is hidden by the hairstyle.
Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 16:07, April 28, 2020 (UTC)
(Facepalm) Because, the artist designed her based on both monsters. That explains her similarities. The speculation that Shurit is the son of Avance and Emilia seems legit given the existence of Sacred Serpent's Wake and several others. But her... SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 05:38, April 29, 2020 (UTC)

So Pitifulheartles, Jack's Knight is the son of King's Knight and Queen's Knight, given his young age, physical appearance and aesthetically similar to both. Am I right? SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 05:45, April 30, 2020 (UTC)

Can you map every detail of Jack to the other 2? Probably not. He's just a Royal card in monster form. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 11:13, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
Not royal card, brother, but playing card. Those three are based on king, queen and jack in the said game. Do you realize that in certain aspects, Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician are Yugi Muto's Duel Monster counterparts? They symbolizes Yugi Muto becoming stronger in duelling that he succeeds in defeating Atem in their final duel. That's why they begin as children (if you look carefully, they resemble Yugi Muto). As they level up and reach adulthood, they gain an increase in power, reflecting his duelling skill. That's why the idea of a "kinship" between both leading to the conception of Silent Paladin is ludicrous, as they are meant to symbolize Yugi Muto's improvement in duelling, confidence and maturity. SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 06:32, May 1, 2020 (UTC)
I call them royal because you need them in a royal flush/straight. And now that they are adults, they have a child. Also please link properly next time. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 11:11, May 1, 2020 (UTC)
Bro, they are supposed to represent Yugi Muto's phases of maturity, not his relationship with his life partner upon reaching adulthood. SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 02:01, May 3, 2020 (UTC)
No, the LV monsters represented that. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 02:44, May 3, 2020 (UTC)

Well, the speculation of her parentage, not to mention both the Silent monsters' claimed relationship, remain extremely speculative given the lack of evidences from the OCG/TCG lores. At least Shurit being the son of Avance and Emilia have more credences. SmartestManAlive (talkcontribs) 08:51, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Regardless, if you all still disagree, discuss it here on in the Talk page. Pit, please don't create another edit war by reverting the edit a 3rd time. This will hold for all of your editing disputes. Thank you.BlazeWu (talkcontribs) 13:54, May 9, 2020 (UTC)
As long as they leave the page alone until all talks have officially concluded. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 14:20, May 9, 2020 (UTC)
Pretty much everything that can be said relating to this topic has been said already, which usually signals that "all talks have officially concluded". You made your point, it's very clear and understandable. Others have made counter-points in a similar fashion. If the discussion continues any further it will essentially be about regurgitating the same points over and over again ad nauseam - in fact I would say it's already become repetitive. All is left to come to a conclusion, and considering the usual guidelines for trivia sections, your claim that Paladin is the daughter of Magician and Swordsman, while indeed interesting, is unsupported. And there are multiple people who agree on this, while there's only you who clings to this theory. This should be the point where you accept the majority consensus until new, more acceptable evidence comes up, perhaps in the form of a new card or lore, in order to maintain a reasonable and open-minded atmosphere on this site. I'm absolutely sure your intentions are to help the wikia, so I know you can let this one go. SpecB (talkcontribs) 17:58, May 9, 2020 (UTC)
When it comes to trivia and lore I will not sing the Frozen song. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 18:33, May 9, 2020 (UTC)
Heh, nice. I actually thought of that too when I wrote my comment. Anyways, you'll have to accept the majority's opinion on this, because the page is locked indefinitely. This is what happens when things are done out of order: first you need to discuss, and then make the edit, not the other way around. Case in point, I looked at the discussions, saw the conclusion, and made the edit accordingly. Multiple users, as well as admins/moderators agree that, unfortunately, your theory of these three monsters' familiar relationship is not backed by sufficient evidence. I kindly ask you to put this on hold until a new, perhaps more convincing evidence can be brought forward, and not resort to edit warring on said trivia page, if - and that's a big "if" - the lock is lifted. I can promise you I will listen to any new arguments you can bring forward, as much as I have listened to the ones you brought so far, even if without commenting myself until now. SpecB (talkcontribs) 19:17, May 9, 2020 (UTC)
Isn't it obvious? The developers want our money, that's why they designed such cards. Malikishak91 (talkcontribs) 00:35, May 10, 2020 (UTC)

I felt that the big blocks of text were copied, but I wanted to dispel that doubt; I didn't want to believe that. Shame. Thanks for the notification. Energy X 17:05, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Could you help me out by identifying the missing cards from this video in regard to this article? Most of them are Spell/Trap Cards. Energy X 22:05, May 7, 2020 (UTC)

On it. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 22:38, May 7, 2020 (UTC)

Noted, and thank you for making the card list. Energy X 21:34, May 8, 2020 (UTC)

It's a loose link, they should get the message that they should not add the trivia by the edit reverts. Energy X 19:46, May 11, 2020 (UTC)

I'd rather not. That could indicate that there is a reprint (or at least, a new entry in the database that has not been printed yet), when there's actually nothing official. Energy X 16:16, May 27, 2020 (UTC)

At very least you can make direct links to that, to hint what it should be, if it isn't already like that. I do not think it is our job to be writing what the company should do about that. Or perhaps make the card lore page and explain there about it? Energy X 17:34, May 27, 2020 (UTC)

Remember, we should keep things simple, any unnecessary code like that is not to be used. It's just that it has no practical use, aside from being wrapped around. Just imagine what'd happen with pages with long names, something like "[[D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation|D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation's]]" effect. Energy X 17:42, May 27, 2020 (UTC)

It's listed in his deck on his page Tenzen YanagiMarcusbwfc (talkcontribs) 12:12, May 29, 2020 (UTC)

The End of Anubis does indeed stop hand traps because they activate on the Graveyard. It is for this very reason that "Called by the Grave" works on hand traps. The card activated on the Graveyard, if it didn't Called by the Grave wouldn't work.

Anubis is a way superior version as all things Graveyard related are automatically negated. This means Effect Veiled, Ash Blossom and the other dweeb patrol cards are useless. You baselessly edited my tip for a non argument you made that doesn't have a any water other than you throwing a fit

Next time, I would like to ask you to update the links of all pages once renamed. I am sure this script should come in handy in future.

Moreover, I would like to ask - since you must've bought volume 7, is there any extra stuff at the end of the volume, something like this artwork that can be uploaded? In addition, as far as I remember, there are extra scenes where Yuya and his brothers are depicted with Yuzu and Yusho as parents; is that a separate chapter or something else? Energy X 17:49, June 11, 2020 (UTC)

Not sure how to use the auto update and didn't know a non-mod can do it. Also the Yuzu being a mom bits were a twitter/JP only I think. It wasn't in vol 7 anyways. Also do we want page scans? They might not be very perfect since it's not a digital copy. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 17:52, June 11, 2020 (UTC)
There were a few bonus chapters at the end of volume 7. The brothers doing janken to decide lunch, yuzu forcing them to enter a swimsuit competition, and about Reiji's scarf's origin. Pitifulheartles (talkcontribs) 17:55, June 11, 2020 (UTC)
Right, I forgot about the page move limit. As for the chapters, any scans are welcome, since they can be replaced by digital ones at any time. Energy X 06:21, June 16, 2020 (UTC)

Page locked. That's all that I will say on the matter. Energy X 11:44, June 22, 2020 (UTC) Um, dude, wtf. You locked it on his edit. Why are you letting this maverick run rampant starting edit wars over nothing? Jonneyboy99 (talkcontribs) 11:47, June 22, 2020 (UTC)

Because I will not let such petty squabbles go on. This isn't even a major change to be breaking heads about. You have something else to review, which is far more important than adding or removing "which" word. If you want your changes to *MEAN* something, to have some importance, that is. Energy X 11:49, June 22, 2020 (UTC)

The name wasnt made up by me. It was used in the "Cyber Art" wikia page. Sorry if it was not correct. --Troly (talkcontribs) 14:24, June 22, 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for fixing that entry. I tried copying the format from the next in the set and it did not work the way I thought it would. It has been awhile since I've been active.

Hi! I made the minor edit to the Iliaster page because Li-Mei Chiang is a voice actress, not the actual character in the anime. Carly Carmine is the character whom Chiang provided the voice. Please understand and just let the edit be kept with the necessary change I made. Rini-Anointed (talkcontribs) 18:24, July 15, 2020 (UTC) Rini
