Linking is done in sync with the article edits, please don't do it indepedant of this. That way, the person going through the articles knows that everything is being done correctly. Help appreciated, but this is a long standing policy ^^.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 19:13, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Template Members + Possible Misnaming

  • One of the reasons why I put them in the same template is because in the anime, in order for Macro Cosmos to be activated, a Tin Spell Circle had to be removed from the field. Of course, this doesn't apply to the OCG/TCG. The other reason is that the four processes (Yellow, Red, White, and Black) should belong together, despite the fact they're split up in two seperate categories. -- Huajun Chen 17:47, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Dynamic + Light Brigade

  • Can we deleted the unused Spell/Trap boxes for the anime character card lists? (Ex: Missy, Osamu.) The format still looks very nice and it saves space.
  • I conglomorated the four monarchs together. You probably know that already, but, yeah. -- Huajun Chen 19:34, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: Testament Gallery (again)

Wait, I just checked that link again, and if you click on the SR version, it brings you to WCPS-AE703. I guess there's no EN SR version! -- Deus Ex Machina (talk contribs), 02:31, 29 July 2007

Re: Image policy

Apparently there has been some problems with new users changing card lores to reflect the pictures. Although our current "first-issue" policy is NICE, using "most recent release" images instead should HOPEFULLY avoid this problem in future. TwoTailed brought this up with me a day or two ago (Friday iirc), and I agreed with this change.

--Narchibald84 11:08, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
  • And for the reason you described, Deltaneos, I was apprehensive about changing this on a whim. It would be an idea, if both you and June has Instant Messenger contects, so I can communicate quicker & easier with you.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 13:32, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Misplacing Rulings

  • Yes, sorry about that. The names are in Japanese so when I saw "Abyss Assassin" I figured was Abyss Soldier. Anyway, I've learned to avoid that problem by copy-and-pasting the Card Numbers into the search engine. -- Huajun Chen 13:37, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

My Preferences

  • On a more contemporary note, I recently changed my skin to "Wow" but I want back. However...I can't seem to find the "My Preferences" tab any longer. I tried typing it into the search engine and nothing worthwhile comes up. Can you help me? -- Huajun Chen 18:04, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Ugh, it still won't work! I can't do anything with this format; the links are hidden behind the effing page! -- Huajun Chen 19:21, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
      • -tackleglomphug- YES! -smothers with kisses- THANKYOUTHANKYOU~~ -- Huajun Chen 19:34, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

  • As with all other big changes, this would be done as we go through them. And as I recall, we have some big holes in the DB1/DB2/DR1/DR2/DR3 image pools that we'd mostly use as updated cards (Of course, not including the XXX-ENXXX format cards for those that were not reprinted). I'm currently amassing a collection of cards, so I'll scan some in to cover what holes we have.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 13:40, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
  • If they have an updated image, we use it, if not, we will change it when it's uploaded. DB1 and DB2 are complete, so all cards in those sets can be updated, but DR1-3 still have quite a few holes. I'll see what I can do about uploading the missing images.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 13:58, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

DDM Figures

As far as I know, none of the DDM monsters where released under two different sets, so there is only 1 official figure for each monster. Indeed, the image of Red-Eyes B. Dragon (DDM)'s figure should be renamed to remove the "B4".
--Van Ludwig 18:11, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

  • DarkMagician2-DDM-Figure should work.
    --Van Ludwig 18:22, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Spike & Barons. I'm not 100% they're omg!official, but I don't think somebody would dedicate half a website to creating these rulings, so yeah, for the most part, they probably are correct. Also, the Japanese rulings on the card pages are the ones that are not included in the English rulings which legalizes the fact they aren't just fake spin-offs if the offical Upperdeck rulings are mingled in with the (supicious) Japanese ones. -- Huajun Chen 20:10, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
    • As for Deck effects, you are technically correct, since the contents of your Deck to what you activate on the playing field are hidden until the Deck is checked. This is why you can activate Reinforcement of the Army when you have no Warrior-Type monsters in the Deck; until it's checked, it's always assumed there is a viable target. However, this is a bit different.
      • Can you make a seperate template, similar to the delete one? We can use that to flag 'problem' rulings, which can then be looked at on consensus, and decided upon.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 20:26, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

  • I told you I'm here to make messes.
  • I don't think they're mistranslated. The ones that are mistranslated or the translator wasn't 100% sure of have a little ? next to it and have already been weeded out be me beforehand.
  • I don't know, are you mistaken?
  • Don't change them.
  • They're Japanese. Japanese Rulings are already unoffical in the rest of the world.
  • Look, Del, you seem to be under the impression I'm fluent Engrish.
  • On a final note: Don't shoot the messenger. -- Huajun Chen 20:24, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
    • The rulings can remain unlinked. You can go delete them for all I care. We'll simply have a less complete card ruling database. -- Huajun Chen 20:43, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
      • On the contrary, they're very identical situations, but with very different effects. Copying information directly from Wikipedia is more iffy than an offhand Japanese/Engrish fansite seeing as this website is an extension of Wikipedia itself. Transferring GX character profiles from the most renowned online encyclopedia in the world into this tiny spin-off with site little editing or linking only devalues this website's appearance. People would rather go to for the mother load than the babe. Japanese rulings are a tad bit different however, mostly, because a good chunk of duelists don’t realize there are Japanese rulings in the first place, nor would they know where to go to find them. So even if the links are awkward here, this website is. -- Huajun Chen 21:50, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Episode listing for GX

I'm trying out a new style which i found of Bulbapedia, i think it would be interesting for Yugioh wikia to.

Episode Guide - Season One
English Title
Japanese Title and Translation
Japanese Air Date
American Air Date
001 150px The Next King of Games ?????? October 6, 2004 October 10, 2005

my thoughts:

  1. . merge all of the Future Japanese episodes to Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 153 and so on
  2. . switch the order to the episode number is first, image is second, english title third, Japanese title is fourth, JPN air date is fifth, and finally the US air date is sixth.
  3. . I really don't like the style for the episode pages. So i'm going to make a Template:EpisodeInfobox.
  4. . I want this site to be more official like Wikipedia. So have you ever thought of protecting the front page from vandals and only Admins can edit that daily events' news, whats next on TV, i don't like for all of the media and character pages to be at the very bottom.

Thanks.... -- Johanking (talk contribs) 21:46, 29 July 2007

      • Goddarnit, we still do have this problem! Alright, that's good to hear. I was just uncertain of what was going on when a staple had no gallery and yet you were telling me to look at the already existing gallery of a female mer-person with a subpar effect. Tracking Japanese Rulings

  • Recent changes, of course. Don't worry, I'm nearly done. Luckily for both of us, a lot of the Japanese rulings mimic their English counterparts so I deleted them. That's why my pace has slowed down just slightly.
  • After the Japanese rulings, I'm going to the offical Upperdeck website and checking over the offical rulings. Luckily, most of them are installed but I bet we missed at least a dozen of them somewhere... -- Huajun Chen 14:52, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
    • Clever, I see. So are you going to do the English rulings? -- Huajun Chen 14:58, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Remember my philsophy of having a rockbottom to support everything? I'm going through the entire list of official erratas non-stop and *then* fixing everything. -- Huajun Chen 16:03, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
    • I heard that undertone of sarcasm. Fine, I'll take back my promise for linking the rulings, mostly because I have no idea what to link, but I _will_ do the erratas because I actually know how to do them. -- Huajun Chen 16:06, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
      • Then I'll list everything that Upperdeck has included on their website. I'll try my best to record all the changes, then, ok? -- Huajun Chen 16:13, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
        • I'll be grateful you have a shred of trust left in me. -- Huajun Chen 16:23, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Female Monster Card List

  • We're keeping it (for the time being) because I said so.
  • As for the food card list, I've been meaning to categorize it into the deck type category because I've seen it in many forums and even in COTD's where people joke about moking a causal 'food-themed' deck. -- Huajun Chen 23:12, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
  • You can come out; it's all clear now. I'm done with my massive Trivia restoring spree of doom and destruction. -- Huajun Chen 02:00, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Fairy Meteor Crush

If you equip your "Fairy Meteor Crush" to an opponent's monster, and it attacks a Defense Position monster on your side of the field with ATK greater than your monster's DEF, the opponent will take the difference as Battle Damage. This is because "your opponent" is the opponent of the player who controls "Fairy Meteor Crush" not necessarily the opponent of the player who controls the monster.

Normal Monster Rulings

  • I suppose it is entirely up to you. Glad we cleared up the "normal monster" rulings. You've saved me a lot of work.
  • Another thing: Seeing as normal monsters won't have rulings, wouldn't it make sense to take them out of the template? -- Huajun Chen 19:00, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
    • Oh? If not, then who else is involved in deciding what stays in the rulings?
    • I see your point. Dark Magician and the Ojamas have pretty important rulings attached to them.
    • That sounds great. The best option would be to run it over with Fox, but I'm sure he'll agree anyway. Go for it. -- Huajun Chen 19:15, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
      • Which only proves I need friends and to go out some more.
      • I'm going through every single card in the TCG by set. Currently on Dark Crisis. I think I underestimated when I said, Luckily, most of them are installed but I bet we missed at least a dozen of them somewhere... As of now, I've installed at least 30 new ruling pages for official rulings. Not the Japanese ones, not the "Mentioned in Other Rulings" ones, the Upperdeck approved rulings. Gawds. I thought most of them were complete before I joined the site.
      • I'm not linking the rulings. Ever. -- Huajun Chen 19:23, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Video Game Forbidden/Limited list

  • Techincally, we could apply that to 80% of the material on this website. However, Fox AKA Mr. Furry says "Listing the cards provides a much faster way of seeing what's on offer. Take up space, I know, but users appreciate the convenience. Believe me, I know :p." which means we're going to have a crapload of pages with overlapping material and "I will deal with it in due course." which translates into March 17th 2009. Believe me, I also wanted to link the booster packs for GX Tag Force like this but Mr. Furry says we're just going to list all the cards. Again. -- Huajun Chen 14:58, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Rulings (Again)

  • I even made it easy for you this time.
  • Also, go [here] and type "Skill Drain" into the search engine. Skim through the rulings. Do we include them or not because they are an insane lot of 'em. -- Huajun Chen 15:28, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
    • Wow. And I thought you ignored that comment. Sarcasm aside, I placed the Skill Drain rulings in the "not-so-sure" file because I didn't want to waste my time copy-and-pasting all that and them spacing. Advanced Crystal Beasts

I was wondering if you or someone else could do something; I don't have much time on my hands. All those Advanced Crystal Beasts have the wrong effects and stats; they really are exactly the same as the normal versions, except for the DARK attribute. (This has been confirmed for the Cat, Eagle, Pegasus, and Carbuncle. The other three are just logicking it out.) Also, they need the ruby text "??????" above the "A", and "????????" above the "???". I'd love to do it myself, but I'm kinda busy at the moment. Thanks in advance! --Deus Ex Machina 14:29, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

EDIT: Sorry, they also have the effect "This card's name is treated as [the normal version]" - AdvCrysBeast Ruby is treated as CrysBeast Ruby, etc.

Advanced Crystal Beast

The template most be whit the Advanced Crystal Beast and not the Crystal Bests. And why you edit my edits??

Bot there not the same. Rainbow Dark Dragon + the Advanced Crystal Best shod haw 2 templates.

EDIT:yes bot why not haw 2 templates? If you haw msn hers mine:Removed by klemenkin or i will give you a link to my chat room. -- Klemenkin 10 August 2007

        • And what if you make it like the Sacred Cards Template:

Crystal Best Cards on top of the template then a line and the title Advanced Crystal Bests and the cards that support them.

          • Sure, whatever, that sounds wonderful. But tell you what: let's wait until next week when we find out more info on this new-fangled Crystal Beast cards. -- Huajun Chen 16:06, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

ok, know what?

I'll leave the Rulings and Trivias alone. I'll let you and Huajun Chen take care of that, but there is one thing I would like to change on the Rulings section. Can I change the card names from quotations to links instead (e.g. change "Premature Burial" to Premature Burial) AnnaV 18:52, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

but some of the card names have no links, but are in quotation marks. AnnaV 19:19, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
