Transfer is a game term introduced in Weekly Shonen Jump July 2017 membership promotional card. It refers to the Condition of Xyz Materials attached to one Xyz Monster becoming Xyz Materials on another Xyz Monster when the latter monster is Xyz Summoned by Xyz Evolution using the former as an Xyz Material.
Example
Xyz Materials attached to "Number 39: Utopia" being transferred to "Number C39: Utopia Ray" when the former is used as an Xyz MAterial to Xyz Summon the latter.
Text
Xyz Monsters that transfer Xyz Materials from another Xyz Monster to themselves have the following text:
- Transfer its materials to this card.
Prior to Weekly Shonen Jump July 2017 membership promotional card, the same Condition would be described as:
- Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.
Prior to Weekly Shonen Jump July 2017 membership promotional card, on cards that transfer Xyz Materials to Summoned Xyz Monsters, the following text appeared:
- Xyz Materials attached to it/that target also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.
