Playing Style[]
Every "Transcendosaurus" monster has the effect of shuffling 1 Normal Monster from the GY into the Deck to Special Summon itself from the GY, this makes Normal Monsters essential for the series. Some Normal Monster and Non-Effect Monster support cards can used to great effect like "Piercing the Darkness".
"Drillygnathus" and "Glaciasaurus" require 2 level 6 monsters to summon them, this means most main deck monsters should be level 6. A good way to special summon level 6 monsters is through Pendulum Summoning by having "Lancephorhynchus" and "Fire Opal Head" in the Pendulum Zones. "Jurassic Power" also allows level 6 monsters to be normal summoned without having to tribute any monsters.
"Xeno Meteorus" is the series' primary monster, being a tuner monster and having an effect that Special Summons 1 Dinosaur Normal Monster from your hand or Deck. By summoning a Level 6 monster, it can be used to either Synchro Summon of "Glaciasaurus" or Xyz Summon "Drillygnathus". Xeno Meteorus effect to destroy 1 Dinosaur monster in your hand or on your field can be used with "Babycerasaurus" and "Petiteranodon" to swarm the field with more Dinosaur monsters.
"Ground Xeno" is the series' Polymerization substitute and also serves as an additional monster Searcher to "Fossil Dig", "Petiteranodon", "Souleating Oviraptor", and "Doodlebook - Uh uh uh!".
"Transcendosaurus Meteorus" has an effect which allows it to destroy 2 monsters you control and/or in your hand to special summon itself from the hand, this is a very similar effect to the one "True King" monsters have; "True King Lithosagym, the Disaster" in particular is considered a Staple for Dinosaur decks because of its synergy with "Babycerasaurus" and "Petiteranodon".
