Since Zoma the Spirit is treated as a monster card it can not be mystical space typhooned I assume; but since it is treated as a trap you cannot tribute it?

can this card be activated in rsponse to an attack while i have no other monster cards on the field. every time i do my friends say that now they can chooswe if they still want to attack which they call a re play. is that allowed
It's a trap card, so yes, it can. And yes, they can choose to replay if they want.
