Delete or stay

Personally, I don't think this needs an article (the Kaiba Family and Gozaboro family don't have their own article), however this page has been recreated so many times. If it gets deleted, I really don't mind, but I also wouldn't mind it staying ether (It's not like It's spam or anything, plus there is at least one reference in the article. And judging from the biograghy, that portion will be expanded as we learn more about the Tron Familiys plan with Shark and the Numbers). I say it should stay for now at least. Is the "Tron Family" even a legit name or is it a fan-made one?--PoirotH (talkcontribs) 17:33, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

We need to call the group of characters something. As a group, I think they do need an article. I don't think they've ever been explicitly called "Tron Family" in-universe, but we need to call the article something. We have plenty of other articles with conjectural names, so I don't see that as an argument for deletion. The article is still based on factual information even if the name is conjectural. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:37, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
Yes, an issue of V-Jump called it トロン ー家 , meaning "Tron Family" [1]. By the way one of your sysops claims you don't make articles about families [2], so this is going to be deleted, again. --109.92.185.93 (talk) 18:50, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
Ah, so it is the official name. In any case, I'm pretty much at this point in favor of it staying really. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 19:04, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
Say that to the sysop. :) --109.92.185.93 (talk) 19:09, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
Now that there's an actual discussion about this, he shouldn't have any reason to delete the article unless consensus says he should. And right now consensus is saying keep (though that could change). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:47, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

9 numbers !?

It is said on the list of the obtained numbers that they have at least nine numbers. When was that ever shown? They have at least 4, when did anyone say they had 9 numbers? —This unsigned comment was made by 188.81.193.195 (talkcontribs) 14:22, March 8, 2012

When IV throws the Numbers at the ones he'll face. F.E.A.R. (talkcontribs) 14:28, March 8, 2012 (UTC)

Not only that, but it is referenced/cited. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 15:06, March 8, 2012 (UTC)

I don't think he would just throw his own numbers, and certainly not III's machu mach, so shouldn't we say that they have at least 12 numbers?--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 23:36, March 8, 2012 (UTC)

Even if that were true, it's unconfirmed. Plus one of V's line, in response to IV saying how tough it is to collect Numbers, in episode 33 is that IV should take better care of the Numbers they already have. F.E.A.R. (talkcontribs) 00:35, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

Name

Shouldn't we rename this to Arclight Family? I think that would sound way better plus it's their real family name after all. Dunkles Magiermädchen (talkcontribs) 17:22, May 14, 2012 (UTC)

I think not. They are primarily known as the "Tron Family." We usually name articles by what would be the most common name used. In this case, that's definitely not "Arclight Family". For the same reason, I'm against renaming any of the articles to use the characters' real names, since that's not the most common names. Bruno's article is still at Bruno instead of Johnny for the same reason I've gone ahead and redirected "Arclight Family" to point here though. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:51, May 14, 2012 (UTC)

We put The real articles' names on the pages. We don't just change the name to another possibility just because it sounds better. They're name is Tron family, even though they're second names is "Arclight", it is never used as their family name in the anime. (Meklordsa5m (talkcontribs) 14:43, June 11, 2012 (UTC))

You mention Bruno as an example of us using a character's most common name for the article, Cheesedude, but what about Keith Howard and Reginald Kastle? --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 14:48, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
Also Cheese, with you saying that, are you also saying that "Yuma Tsukumo" is renamed Yuma because he is more reffered only simply as Yuma, not by his family name? ----SharkTenjo 14:56, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
That would be because it appears that no one ever thought about that before, Key. And its a good point. They probably should be moved. No, I'm not saying we should move articles not to include last names either. That's a different thing. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:37, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
So i think we should rename Keith Howard to "Bandit Kieth" and Reginald Kastle to "Shark" ----SharkTenjo 05:01, June 12, 2012 (UTC)
I don't think we should rename Shark's article. There is also the achetype "Shark" and lately many people in the anime like the random fangirls and IV & Tron started calling him Ryouga, but I'm not sure if the same goes for the dub because I don't watch it. Dunkles Magiermädchen (talkcontribs) 17:45, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

Dub name

When in the English Dub is Vetrix used?--Power32840 (talkcontribs) 18:37, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Vetrix is Tron's dub name. Dub didn't use this name nor any other collective name for Tron's family. --The Goblin 04:54, August 31, 2012 (UTC)
Then do you suggest we continue calling them the Tron Family? That makes no sense. This is the same principle as when a character with a relative has their dub name revealed. The relative's article gets moved as well, i.e. - before we knew that Tetsuo's sister's name was Brianna Stone in the dub, we moved it to Tetsuko Stone. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 12:20, August 31, 2012 (UTC)
I know this is a dated discussion, but what about just naming it "Arclight Family"? We know that's their last name, it wouldn't be one-sided anymore and as of today's episode (72), they're now calling each other by their actual names, rather that III, IV, V and Tron. --Manaphy12342 16:25, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

The reading of トロン一家 is not "toronkazoku" it is "toronikka"( "ikke" is also possible but "ikka" seems more common). The kanji for Kazoku ist this "家族". The meaning is quite the same.
