Relation to Frog Cards

Why shouldn't there be a relation to the frog cards? It's kind of a frog (as told in the lore) isn't it? For me that's relation enough, moreover as a relation hasn't anything to do with the technical gameplay (or am I wrong?).Tersos 14:46, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

It does not belong to the "Frogs" but as it is a frog it's related to them or not? (Otherwise I have a wrong comprehension of the "related" term) Tersos 15:16, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

I think related means it supports/is supported by another card that belongs to/supports the archetype, but the card itself isn't part of the archetype, nor does it support the archetype as a whole... For example, Power Tool Dragon isn't a Morphtronic, nor does it support the Morphtronics specifically. But the card Double Tool C&D supports both the Morphtronics and Power Tool Dragon, hence it drew a sort of "connection" between them. For me related means the card is something alike the archetype cards or has something to do with them (in the matters of appearance, name, lore, etc.) but isn't perforce connected to them in a technical way.Tersos 15:41, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

• I'd like to follow up to my previous post, Ally of Justice Clausolas is related to the Mist Valley because it has Mist Valley in its flavor text, but it isn't a member of the Mist Valley archetype, nor does it suppost it. Mist Wurm seems to be related to Mist Valley because it has several common elements (part of the name, the type, attribute, and similar effect theme, as well as design), but this could get us into a sort of grey area. Toad Master actually supports Frog the Jam in some video-games, and Frog the Jam is NOT a member of the Frog archetype. On an unrelated note, since Frog the Jam is a Slime monster, Toad Master should be related to the Slime archetype. -- Al-Malik ملك الألعاب 15:56, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

• Therefor (in my opinion) "Frog the Jam" is just related to them. I have the impression that you guys seem to confuse belonging to an archetype with being related to an archetype.Tersos 15:59, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

I have no knowledge about what "Toad Master" is able in some video games but if you are sure about it, why don't giving him the "Slim"-relation and adding a trivia entry?Tersos 16:04, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

• Having a similar name is irrelevant. It's explicitly excluded from all "Frog" support in the TCG because in the OCG, its name does not actually include the word that the OCG specifically asks for.
