4kids didn't cut him, he appeared in flashbacks. AFAIK that's all that happened in the Japanese version. Unless you're thinking of the first series anime, which was something different, 4kids didn't dub that. -- Deltaneos 09:19, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Same guy

Recent edits have alluded to that it may not be the same character, there is no 100% proof whether he is, although having the same name, and if I remember right, also a similar voice, he seems like the same guy. Tbh, it feels like hes a bad guy gone good. Yugis Mind Crush is just that op to last that many episodes and years. :P Yami Michael 12:57, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Has anyone thought about the possibility that Trudge stands as his surname while Demetrius is his first name, making his full name "Demetrius Trudge"? Doczo 02:56, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Just because a Voice Actor does the Voice of possibly both characters doesn't mean the same characters are the same in anyway if they have relatively same names. I believe that we should have Separate Articles for Tetsu (from the original Anime) and Trudge (5D's). i don't think that they should be under the same Article since their is no known way to tell if they are related let alone same person~MEOW~ Might of the BIRD Empire~~ 21:14, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

I say we wait for the new movie to come out since that should give us a good idea of how much time passed between GX and 5D's. Shldn't we separate the article to Tetsu Ushio and Tetsu Ushio (5D's) instead? and is the deck he use against aki the same as the deck used against ghost? i think they are 2 separate deck the one against aki is only for the test -Lpoi 08:48, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

Since he's originally a Yu-Gi-Oh! character, as apposed to a Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's character, shouldn't we use his Yu-Gi-Oh! name, Tetsu Ushio? -- Deltaneos (talk) 12:27, January 4, 2010 (UTC)
