Besides the surprise of him being in 5ds, (at least that isnt referenced in 5d, as 4kids cut him in duelist kingdom) its funny hes now actually legally paid as a bodyguard/henchmen. 124.176.171.11 02:05, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

4kids didn't cut him, he appeared in flashbacks. AFAIK that's all that happened in the Japanese version. Unless you're thinking of the first series anime, which was something different, 4kids didn't dub that. -- Deltaneos 09:19, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I meant how he didnt really appear as a character at all with no "season 0". Im trying to think of the episode that was mentioned, I believe it was an early one, like Joey VS Rex in duelist kingdom? dunno. Yami Michael 07:54, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
He appeared in a flashback, in episode 3, when Yugi and Joey were sitting on the roof. -- Deltaneos 09:39, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
That would be the episode, thanks for that. Shows how lazy I can be. Yami Michael 08:48, 13 April 2008 (EDT)

Hey, i think a sneak preview mentioned that Tetsu was the dark signer. is this true, or even possible? Terrywiz 00:24, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

A true Dark Signer's spider went into him, so he became a "dark signer" until Jack defeats him. DinoQueen13 13:35, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Same guy

Recent edits have alluded to that it may not be the same character, there is no 100% proof whether he is, although having the same name, and if I remember right, also a similar voice, he seems like the same guy. Tbh, it feels like hes a bad guy gone good. Yugis Mind Crush is just that op to last that many episodes and years. :P Yami Michael 12:57, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Has anyone thought about the possibility that Trudge stands as his surname while Demetrius is his first name, making his full name "Demetrius Trudge"? Doczo 02:56, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Just because a Voice Actor does the Voice of possibly both characters doesn't mean the same characters are the same in anyway if they have relatively same names. I believe that we should have Separate Articles for Tetsu (from the original Anime) and Trudge (5D's). i don't think that they should be under the same Article since their is no known way to tell if they are related let alone same person~MEOW~ Might of the BIRD Empire~~ 21:14, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

I say we wait for the new movie to come out since that should give us a good idea of how much time passed between GX and 5D's. If it's within a 20ish year period or less, I say they're probably the same guy, if it's longer, probably not, if Yugi recognizes him and he explains it away, they're not the same, etc. --75.107.104.10 00:06, September 22, 2009 (UTC)
Shldn't we separate the article to Tetsu Ushio and Tetsu Ushio (5D's) instead? and is the deck he use against aki the same as the deck used against ghost? i think they are 2 separate deck the one against aki is only for the test -Lpoi 08:48, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
That's a good idea. Though, I agree that we should wait until the movie is released to see if they are the same person. Trudge appears in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX too, no joke! In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, His name is listed among the disappearing residents of Domino as Trueman sent them to the World of Darkness.--Qim1 03:30, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Article title

Since he's originally a Yu-Gi-Oh! character, as apposed to a Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's character, shouldn't we use his Yu-Gi-Oh! name, Tetsu Ushio? -- Deltaneos (talk) 12:27, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

Since it was moved without an edit summary or any sort of discussion, does anyone mind if I move it back to Tetsu Ushio? -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:49, January 12, 2010 (UTC)
I believe, that since the only true connector is the "Tetsu" name, that perhaps we should have them in Separate Articles. One for Tetsu Ushio and one for Tetsu Trudge, but that is just my opinion.Altyrell 00:59, January 12, 2010 (UTC)
The surname is also a connector. Both versions of the character are called "Tetsu Ushio" in the Japanese version. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:13, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

Appearance in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

Trudge appears in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX too. (What a revalation!!) In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. I found this out when looking through this image on another page. His name is listed among the disappearing residents of Domino as Trueman sent them to the World of Darkness.
Trueman's list-1

Trudge's name is listed on Trueman's list

Should I add this to the article? I'm not sure, exactly, where to put it.--Qim1 03:30, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
It's already there. -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:56, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Explanation of Personality change between series.

Hello, I recently added an information in the Personality page, after "His gaming personality is also different from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, where in he respects his opponents and plays fairly in 5D's, but is not above cheating or even harming his opponent to win in the manga." I added "Though this change could be explained as the result of losing to Dark Yugi and receiving his Penalty Game." But it was removed for being a speculation, I want to know, why it is wrong to add a little speculation? It is even written as one, not written as "The change is the result of Dark Yugi's Penalty Game". The change is most probably because of that, because the penalty games of Dark Yugi are not only to punish but to teach a lesson to the people he compete with. The mayor example is Seto Kaiba. I don't want to undo the last revision if an admin is going to undo my addition again, but I would like to discuss more deeply to see if that can be added or not. Kentaru Z (talkcontribs) 19:52, January 26, 2012 (UTC)

It sounds very plausible. However, aren't the anime and the manga in separate continuities? Dark Yugi's actions in the manga should have no effect on Trudge's personality in 5D's, unless we're talking about the 5D's manga. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:21, January 26, 2012 (UTC)
Indeed the manga and anime are separate continuities. And since we can't be 100% sure of what other actions Dark Yugi took before the start of the second series, this speculation is mostly only applicable to the manga. So because that's the case, the speculation could be added as "Though in the manga the change could be explained as the result of losing to Dark Yugi and receiving his Penalty Game."

Tetsu

If it is the same character from the original series, as he is still alive and young in 5Ds? This series takes place long after DM, Yugi and his friends are probably dead. David Kaique (talkcontribs) 10:32, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

It's not the same character; he's just based on him. 31.11.101.253 (talk) 15:06, April 20, 2013 (UTC)
Actually, the creators did state that he was the same person who picked on Yugi. 72.177.50.227 (talk) 15:51, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time makes it clear that the characters of DM are no longer alive. 186.251.177.210 (talk) 18:50, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

Yup. But it was also officially stated that its the same guy. So, I dunno. Cryogenic freezing? Seriously, there's no way to know. Two official sources contradicted one another. All we can do is note that contradiction. We can't pick one. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:21, April 20, 2013 (UTC)
(anon starting with the 72.177 was me) Agreed, I would just put it in the lead paragragh, given that's where you're saying he's the same guy. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 22:03, April 20, 2013 (UTC)
The creators should have better explained this issue. David Kaique (talkcontribs) 02:11, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
There's a user who keeps removing on the basis he thinks it's not needed. I've directed him here, but he seems to ignore it. If he has a problem with the wording, why doesn't he come on here and say what so we can change it? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 20:33, May 12, 2013 (UTC)
Doesn't that asshole know that what we want to know is actually important?! What I want to know is this: WHY THE HELL IS HE STILL ALIVE AND STAYS SO YOUNG?!?! Hello... (talkcontribs) 08:12, May 23, 2015 (UTC)

Maybe in the original he was a teenager (about 17) and now sometime has passed (he has a scar and greying hair) so he's now like 40 or 45. --Kaiko Mikkusu (talkcontribs) 21:00, July 1, 2015 (UTC)

Pegasus and Crawler Similarities

Can we note that he plays a similar role to these two? All 3 were originally antagonists later turned minor supporting characters.Cloudtheavenger (talkcontribs) 03:30, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
