no your monster survives because their attaking monster is being destroyed.
 
 
If your opponent attacks with a monster and u play sakuretsu armor. he negates it with a trap. can u play a second sakuretsu after that chain is done or do you have to chain your second sakuretsu as the third link in the chain?
 
No Sakuretsu can only be activated in response to the atack and connot be used in response to any spell or trap. in other words, chain link 1 only
