So far, all single-digit numbers rank matches their number. Lucky stripe is rank 7 and OOParts Atlanthal is rank 6, so maybe this card is rank 9. It could explain why it is so powerful (allegedly) because there are so few level 9 monsters.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 14:51, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

It's possible, but we don't know if it's true - so we have to wait till it's releasing in Anime, then later OCG official real card. I am not say that your theory is flaw, I am just say that you get a good and powerful theory that can prove it; but I am also say that we don't know if it's real happening yet. As many times in the past where there were so many flaws in Anime, included Yusei's Junk Warrior that went against Z-one in the open that never happened in the show. --FredCat 14:55, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

I ws just speculating. Still, there's agood chance it might be true. After all, most of level 9 monstersare either fusions or synchros or hava crazy summoning conditions. So it would be cool to have some fresh ones, who have some easy summoning conditions. But we'll have to wait untill episode 55 comes out.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 17:28, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

I also thought of that, the rank being 9 and all but another thing that really got me thinking was the effect. If you read the summaries of this battle, it appears it's a monster that cannot be selected as an Attack Target. In my opinion, if it turns out to be that, it would be nice in the actual game, a new "Earthbound" kind of card but in the anime, it's a freaking beast unable to die by battle at all! The only way to defeat him will then be Neo Galaxy-Eyes so that he can negate this effect, of course. F.E.A.R. (talkcontribs) 20:20, April 3, 2012 (UTC)

there aren't really much level 9 monsters that easily enough to summon. V will probably have some kind of level changing card to get there. well, actually i've been thinking that it might be a rank 3 using 3 xyz materials instead. you know, 3 x 3 = 9 . (talk) 05:46, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

is this card really number 9 i mean why 9 all number monsters have a reason to have that number, are you really sure that is number 9 because i think that is 95 9 + 5 = 14 1 + 4 = 5,also it can be nine because 3 + 4 + 5 = 12 the 3,4 and 5 mean the name of III,IV and V and if we divide 12 by 3 it give us 4 (the 3 is because the number of digits that give us the 12) and the is 9-4 = 5 and the 5 means the name of V,this is my theory --Yugx5dszexal (talkcontribs) 05:07, March 28, 2012 (UTC)

Here's what I take the number 9 to reperesent:

A Dyson Sphere, as mentioned on the Trivia Page, is a large invisible sphere encasing the outside of a solar system. Take, for instance, our solar system. It has 9 major bodies in it: The sun, and the 8 planets.

Furthermore, let's look at it requiring Level 9 monsters. A Dyson Sphere is unfathomably large, which would make some sense to require the monsters Xyz Materials to be as well. Just look at the size of some of those Level 9 monsters (Chimeratech Overdragon stands out in particular). Thus, because this monster is so large, it fits the name given to it perfectly.

I'm not saying your theory is wrong, I'm just saying that I have I thought I'd also like to share that doesn't affect yours. Blatch (talkcontribs) 20:10, April 3, 2012 (UTC)

well actually i like your theory about his relation with the solar system, well i used numerology to do my theory but yours is great.also i have a question : Do i have to put my theories in the forum or in the talking page?

also i have another theory : welll we all know that all numbers used by the tron family are part of an archetype like number 33 : OOParts super weapon mach is part of the OOParts archetype used by III or like number 15 : gimmick puppet-giant killer part of the puppet archetype used by IV so i think that number 9 is part of a new archetype --Yugx5dszexal (talkcontribs) 02:31, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

Actually in the third opening of yugioh zexal we can see V and behind him is a giant circle i think that that giant circle is number 9.--Yugx5dszexal (talkcontribs) 22:36, April 10, 2012 (UTC)

i agree with yugi5dsgxal there should be a picture in Number 9: Dyson Sphere already because in the third opening in 0:49, there is Dyson Sphere. —This unsigned comment was made by (talkcontribs) 10:35, April 11, 2012

That probably is "Dyson Sphere". But we don't know that for sure. So no, the article should not have a picture yet. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 12:31, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

This reminds me of the giant object that Master Chief is heading towards in halo 4. A dyson sphere it was called, but instead of encasing a whole planet... it encases a star. -- (talk) 06:01, May 3, 2012 (UTC)

even though we have no evidence of what effect it will have, i think one of its effect is about not being targeted for an attack since in episode 55, its debut time, the summary says "no attack can reach it". Kinda like Satellite Cannon. LastMinute (talkcontribs) 05:18, April 14, 2012 (UTC)

You gotta be kidding me! This card might not even be released into the card game at all. —This unsigned comment was made by Jonathan Leung (talkcontribs) 21:35, April 15, 2012

Well first of all. If all Signer Dragon were released so all the Numbers will.--Laggia Will Lag You(Talk) 22:11, April 15, 2012 (UTC)

"no attack can reach it"... maybe an effect that prevents it from being selected as an attack target? Or maybe attack negating effect?

Negating attack doesn't seem possible if V is using it against Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon since Galaxy-Eyes' effect is a Quick type, so it'll escape. LastMinute (talkcontribs) 01:31, April 17, 2012 (UTC)

well remember that sometimes the effects of the anime dont appear as an official effect but also, this monster effect can be that it can skip the battle phase--Yugx5dszexal (talkcontribs) 02:26, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

Souichirou-[It is better for that monster's effect that it can't be targeted by any attacks and it can destroy 1 cards once per turn. As a satellite from above can target anything down here on earth, that must be also the ability and the attribute of that new XYZ Monster! It's just natural for a powerful monster as that to be difficult to summon, but it's worth it bcoz of it's ability! {{unsigned||09:46, April 26, 2012

Holy snickies! 5000 atk! No wonder no attack can reach it, with that power. And with an effect that prevents attacks... I'm curious to see how V will work this out. And we could use some Level 9 monsters in the OCG/TCG.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 13:13, May 9, 2012 (UTC)

Perhaps Dyson Sphere either prevents attacks if it has Xyz Material or attacks from non-Xyz Monsters. --Perfect Sige (talkcontribs) 18:38, May 14, 2012 (UTC)

Spam has started; suggest locking

Some guy call SuperSaiyan786 or something, put a Win Condition in the effect, and made the rank 300. Before this worsens I suggest locking the article. Shamus (talkcontribs) 22:26, April 15, 2012 (UTC)

I agree--Yugx5dszexal (talkcontribs) 02:27, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

I also agree with it. -- The Goblin  I'm feelin' the flow  03:01, April 19, 2012 (UTC)

"Sky Canopy Star"? Can we really do no better?

Less than a week to go before we can say goodbye to "Marine Biting Dragon" forever. Still, I have to ask, where did the equally clumsy "Sky Canopy Star" come from? You know that 天蓋 is a word, and it can mean "dome," right? "Domed Star - Dyson Sphere"? Not ideal at all, mind, but please note that if you want accuracy, Shark Drake is "Ocean Bite Dragon." (I'd have rendered it as "Seafang Dragon" myself. >_>) "Enclosed Star"? "Encapsulated Star"? Anything but "Sky Canopy Star," which, again, isn't actually what the name translates as. Or we could just do away altogether with the attempted kanji translation in the main title and simply make note of 天蓋星 in the translation notes: judging from Number 25: Force Focus and others, we can safely predict that the US name will be simply "Number 9: Dyson Sphere" anyway. (And it will be all the better off for it.)--Ryusui (talkcontribs) 09:03, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

Most of our initial translations come from Neo Ark Cradle (at least for anime and manga cards; perhaps OCG too, I'm not actually sure). The page was initially at "Number 9: Dyson Sphere the Encased Star". It was moved to "Sky Canopy Star" after the same translator used that as the translation instead. We can't just assume it will be called just "Dyson Sphere" either, that would be speculation (though we do allow it in the case of archetypes). Konami is nothing if not inconsistent. We could have said the same about "Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction", but they retained the whole name. And wasn't "Force Focus" originally "Focus Force" anyway?
If the name if unequivocally wrong, feel free to just move it. Put your rationale in the move summary. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 09:24, April 22, 2012 (UTC)
[Tengai+Sei] For Tengai(天蓋) it's to means "canopy, dome" not separate word to be Ten(天)=sky and Gai(蓋)=cover, lid. But for this card's artwork. It was spread out or bloom out into 5-Petal or Pentagram. It's related with Controller's Name [V]. And looked to Sealed Form. It is possibly to dome's shape. Sei, hoshi(星)=Star, thus the name of this card to be Number 9: Dyson Sphere the Star Canopy. Terrato1 (talkcontribs) 07:17, April 25, 2012 (UTC)

The card is once again renamed? How many times will it get renamed before we get TCG version. -- The Goblin  I'm feelin' the flow  06:19, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Someone's original Number?

I don't think that Number 9: Sky Canopy Star - Dyson Sphere is V's original Number: His deck seems like a Chthonian or infernal deck, while this card seems space themed. HOWEVER, maybe V's cards are based of flames in general, and this Number is based of the solar flames in particular. Imadmagician (talkcontribs) 17:59, May 1, 2012 (UTC) Imadmagician

OK, Wipe what i said out. V plays a space-themed deck and this is his original Number. Weird though that the spell and traps he first used are hell related. Imadmagician (talkcontribs) 16:03, May 14, 2012 (UTC)

Once per...

  • This card's effect is Once per Battle or Once per Battle Phase? If it's Once per Battle, so this card cannot be destroyed by battle
    • If it was the whole phase it would be written on the card. Shamus (talkcontribs) 07:49, May 22, 2012 (UTC)
