is this supposed to be a speculation or is it the OCG banlist so far?--Moneypony 22:14, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, the USA lists copy the Japanese lists for the most part, so yes, this should be correct, but it's not confirmed. It doesn't make that much sense either, since the only real deck in the metagame remaining would be Lightsworn and maybe Twilight and Little City. But then again, UDE is being retarted that Konami is taking over so they banned organized play so i guess it doesn't really matter.--Mr.Archfreak 23:36, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm sorry Mr.Archfreak but that's just flat wrong. UDE simply cancelled their support for a property they are about to lose, it never truly belonged to them anyway. Look up "licensing" for more info. Anyway, it's unreasonable to expect UDE to continue supporting Yu-Gi-Oh! indefinitely.--Trinks 20:41, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Guess ur right, but check out this link... [[1]]--Mr.Archfreak 22:26, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

UDE vs. Konami

I have a question out of curiosity. When Konami finaly takes over the entire game, will they continue to support american players or will they keep it away from us? If they still give it to us, will they bring back organized play? --Sky Scourge God 21:22, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Konami is supporting North America with the upcoming Crimson Crisis Sneak Peak. I think it's reasonable to assume that Konami intends to continue supporting North America afterwards; they stand to make money that way!--Trinks 03:22, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

No Cyber Dragon??

I didn't see Cyber Dragon on there. Is Cyber Dragon decks back?

  • Cyber Dragon is Limited. You might want to check the list twice. --Bluedog (Talk) 03:32, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

DAMN IT!!!! come on! Vehicroidsrage 03:34, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I take it you run a Cyber deck? Or planned to? --Bluedog (Talk) 03:42, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

yeah. I run it, I can't run it too well with only one Cyber Dragon. That's why I run a Zombie deck (which I'm also pissed about Mezuki being limited. I also run the deck that is on my user page User: Vehicroidsrage. As well as Vehicroids and Neo - Spacians.Vehicroidsrage 04:07, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Zombie Deck and graveyard cards

Well I haven't played since May 2008 and I think Monster Reborn was forbidden, since when it is limited? and why is Premature Burial forbidden? Also the Strenght of my Zombie Deck was reduced because of the limitation of Mezuki XP

  • They banned Premature because it comboed with Arms Hole, Giant Trunade, Brionac, etc. Reborn was Limited in May, so I don't know where you've been. --Riko 20:57, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Yeah, it was. I think that was banned because it had way too many combos, plus it could give you a monster whenever you felt like it. Also, I think Call may have been the reason they Limited Jinzo, because I noticed he came off around the time they banned CotH. --Riko 21:02, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Limited Monsters

Okay how much of a threat is Gladiator Beast Bestiari if it became Limited, and Chaos Sorcerer is coming back to my deck. Goyo Guardian I can understand, but Reinforcement of the Army is just wrong to put on limited ~Vanharo

  • Then you've obviously never heard of TeleDAD if you think Limiting RotA was a bad idea. -- Riko 21:03, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Dude they like took a $#!+ on TeleDad decks, I beleive Monarchs, GLads, and Spellcasters will be the Metagame then there should be some specail condition like if you have all 5 dragons from the 5Ds series on your side of the field then you would win

I get that something had to be done to stop TeleDAD from dominating forever, but was EVERYTHING that they did necessary? Seems kinda overkill to me. Limit 2 Malicious kinda kills it altogether, doesn't it? I run Lightsworns, so I don't really know that much about the mechanics of a TeleDAD deck, so correct me if I'm wrong. --GooberYGO 17:41, 21 February 2009 (UTC) I don't get the way that the TeleDAD decks work at all.Vehicroidsrage 17:46, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I know exactly how TeleDad decks work. The main goal is to special summon as many Synchro Monsters as possible by using Destiny Hero - Malicious in combination with Krebons. The easiest way to do that was to use Reinforcement of the Army to search our Elemental Hero Stratos, which in turn searches out Destiny Hero - Malicious or other Destiny Hero's like Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude or Destiny Hero - Plasma. The next step was to use Destiny Draw, dropping any of the above Destiny Hero's (preferably Destiny Hero - Malicious) to draw two cards in hopes of retrieving Emergency Teleport or Krebons, maybe even another Destiny Hero and another Destiny Draw for added draw power. If Malicious is in the Graveyard while he/she has any of those two cards in hand, he/she is gauranteed to have a Synchro Monster like Stardust Dragon or Thought Ruler Archfiend out on even turn one. Sometimes the deck can pull out two or more Synchro Monsters in one turn, then drop a Dark Armed Dragon to clear the field and swing for enough damage to pull out an OTK. The reason why this deck was so good was becuase of the draw power (A.K.A. Destiny Draw and Allure of Darkness) and it's ability to pull out game breaking monsters super fast. For everyone who is mad or wondering why Reinforcement of the Army got limited to one, this deck is to blame. The spell was used to retrieve Elemental Hero Stratos and a number of Destiny Hero monsters. Thats also why Destiny Draw and Allure of Darkness was limited to two cause it becomes splashable in many decks. Emergency Teleport was also limted because Synchro Summons became far to easy to play with the use of Krebons and Psychic Commander. So in a few ways, many cards got limited not because of the fact that TeleDad dominated, but because of the splashablility that they all possessed. Dark Armed Dragon got limited and not banned because it was just icing on the cake. If that card was the only card to get hit by the banhammer, then people would still be running Dark Armed Dragonless TeleDad decks. This list did hit many other types of decks that did not get as much playability as TeleDad did such as Six Samarai, Elemental Hero, Straight up Warrior Decks, Psychics, Destiny Heros, ect, but it opened a door of opportunity more than it closed it. More than a dozen decks have a chance to be competitive for the first time in years, and thats what Konami wanted. Players have become sick and tired of looking at a format that included 4-6 deck types at most being competitive (including me). Plus, since a larger variety of cards will now become competitive, more people will want them, therefore resulting in Konami making more money. This list is basically a win-win situation for the majority of players. --Sky Scourge God 20:53, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Nothing Forbidden?

Well, I must say, I am glad they didn't ban any more cards. They've been getting bad about banned cards lately, and I'm guessing that their bringing back of certain cards will ease us into these new losses. For example, my deck used to run with Dark Magician of Chaos, but they banned him, so I was forced to fall back on something else (thank god for Gorz!). But in the same list, they allowed took Reborn and Breaker off the Forbidden list. Fickle much?

Other than Reinforcement, Bestiary and Chaos Sorcerer, no surprises here. Rogueduelist89 06:36, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm Confused???

I've seen the list on this website and on other websites such as UDE's and the Lists are different such as Mezuki and Goyo aren't limited so either this list here is wrong or list on UDE's website is wrong . --Trivi-AM 17:17, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

UDE's website displays the TCG September 2008 Lists. These are the OCG March 2009 Lists. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:24, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
Sorry I meant [[2]] and there limited list is slightly different so either list could be wrong or right and I don't know which one to fully believe. --Trivi-AM 17:31, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
"Goyo Guardian" and "Mezuki" appear there on the list itself. They just forgot to include them in the NEW section. -- Deltaneos (talk) 18:49, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
