Extra Link

I believe that Extra Link differs enough from "linked" to be its own page. Lightning Laxus (talkcontribs) 14:43, June 13, 2017 (UTC)

Diagonal Extra Links?

Does anyone know what the actual source is on the "The three middle Main Monster Zones on one side of the field must be occupied by Link Monsters." rule is?

It's true that the examples given in them show the links being connected via the Main Monster Zones 2 3 and 4 but the rules don't actually say that's required or that diagonal links cant be used.

Here's the actual rulebook entry regarding them. It gives the example of forming an Extra Link by using the opponent's monsters, or your own. It just says they have to be formed by Mutual Links. Not Mutual Links through Main Monster Zones 2 3 and 4.

Here's the page that defines a Mutual Link. Again, doesn't say Diagonal Links cant be used. Just that the 2 Link Monsters have to link to each other.

So where exactly is that rule coming from? Did konami publish something else in regards to them? I cant find anything on ygorg either about it.

Wow. So the only "official" ruling on them is from a random blog post. In german. Not even on an actual ruling posting. Why does this feel like this is similar to Kevin Tewart's blog post a while back about Reborn Tengu working with Xyz Monsters.
Also, not to nitpick but the source for that article appears to have been removed. So I'd take its credibility as an "official" ruling with a grain of salt. IceFire2050 (talkcontribs) 18:45, July 27, 2017 (UTC)
Oh well. It is inconsequential until they actually make top-left and top-right arrows, which they didn't yet, anyway. --XBrain130™ (エックス) ブレーン130」 18:51, July 27, 2017 (UTC)
