Something that I noticed that I'm not sure has been pointed out are the similarities in the dragons attack names and effect names Their attacks follow the pattern of a japanese adjective ending with no, followed by two words in english. In a similar vein the effect names are always two words in english. With the currently known dimensional dragons, we have:

Odd eyes pendulum dragon: Rasen no strike burst (attack), Reaction Force (effect) Dark rebellion xyz dragon: Hangyaku no lightning disobey (attack), Treason Discharge (effect) Clear wing synchro dragon: Senpuu no Hell-dive slasher (attack), Dichroic Mirror (effect) —This unsigned comment was made by Vanguardfan4869 (talkcontribs) 16:22, February 12, 2015

I've noticed this with the attack names, but I didn't notice it with the effect names. The attack names in addition are a reference to the naming structure of the previous "Eyes" Dragon attack names. "Strike Burst of Spirals," "Lightning Disobey of Rebellion," and "Helldive Slasher of Whirlwinds" compared to "Burst Stream of Destruction" and "Photon Stream of Destruction." Yet to be named Fusion Dragon

Now we know that are four Yuya's and three dragons revealed, we only have to wait that the fourth dragon is confirmed. The only things that we can assume about it are: His owner is Yuri, is a Fusion Monster (Obviously), his level is 7, his attack is 2500, his defense is 2000, is purple colored (as the other dragons are colored after their summon method) and the last words on his name are Fusion Dragon. --Mantor98741 (talkcontribs) 03:55, February 13, 2015 (UTC)

  • Pretty much yeah. There was a rumor a couple of weeks ago in a few sites that its name was "Imperial Claw Fusion Dragon" but it is not been confirmed and I think that, by now, it's just a fake rumor. Yano88 (talkcontribs) 23:23, February 13, 2015 (UTC)

The Design of the dragons haves some meaning

Each dragon design represents some thing related to they owners and summon mechanism (and also to other cards from same type and series)

  • Odd-eyes Pendulum Dragon (and least extended then original odd eyes dragon): Mismatch eyes of orange-red and green colors: his card haves the same color (half green half orange) also to pendulum scales that haves different colors. In reference to Yuya, Odd-Eyes is a red dragon, Yuya also wear red cloths. Odd-eyes also has a lot of references to past cards from the first 4 series
    • Original: he is a DARK Something-Eyes Other thing Dragon like Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and even the effect of his original form is similar to inferno blast (support of red-eyes).
    • GX: Beast-eyes can contact fusion like Jaden's Neos.
    • 5D: His fusion counterpart resembles Dragon Knight Draco Equiste, because its a special kind of card fused with a random card of a certain type. Also his fusion and Xyz forms are evolutions of the pendulum summon like accel synchro is to synchro summon.
    • Zexal: Odd-eyes rebellion Dragon is a expy of Galaxy-eyes evolution, the Neo Galaxy-eyes photon dragon, their effects even activates when the correct card are used as xyz material and can attack multiple times.
  • Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: A black dragon, Xyz monsters are black. In reference to Yuto (owner of this card) his overlay units are purple like Yuto hair and also wear black. His effect is similar to N96 effects, other xyz monster
  • Clear Wings Synchro Dragon: A white dragon, synchro monsters are white; green wings, synchro rings during the summons are green; also he is expy of Stardust Dragon a synchro monster whit the same tribute and ATK/DEF also a similar effect. In reference to Yugo (the owner), Clear wings are white like Yugo duel-Runner and attire. For the last his name is a reference to Clear Mind, a power used in 5D
  • Fusion Dragon: Purple like fusion monsters and also Yuri attire and hair, also his silhouette strongly resembles Kaiser Dragon, also a fusion monsters.
  • All then: Currently nothing can be said until the Fusion Dragon release to affirms completely some thing, but with the current 3 dragons (pendulum, synchro and xyz), is correct affirms that: Level 7 (exept to xyz) like the first two main protagonist ace and rank 4 to xyz like the Zexal main character ace; all they haves generic summon conditions; all then makes reference the past series that features they respective summons. —Last edited by Uyigho98 (talkcontribs) at 01:42, August 29, 2016 (UTC).

Note: this is written before Fusion Dragon release, please don't complain about any fusion dragon related trivia, is all based in his short anime appearing. --Dragonempeorslayer (talkcontribs) 20:48, April 17, 2015 (UTC)

Contact Fusion in the anime was only defined by shuffling monsters on the field into the Deck. Otherwise Seto Kaiba would have called his "XYZ-Dragon Cannon" a Contact Fusion Monster. So no, you're only defining the relationship in terms of the TCG definition for it. the OCG doesn't even have a definition for Contact Fusion. The Red-Eyes relationship is strained too. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:56, April 17, 2015 (UTC)
..... Sorry for say that useless thing. At least the other theories isn't ridiculous, but i really thinks that the "all then" can be also a bad comparison without Fusion dragon to completes it.--Dragonempeorslayer (talkcontribs) 00:07, April 18, 2015 (UTC)

The designs might not have meaning, but the dragons do seem to have similar personalities to their owners: Odd-Eyes, being Yuya's dragon ends up in all sorts of silly situations and can be both comedic and serious, Dark Rebellion seems to share the rage of its owner (seeing as it generally triggers it in Yuya), and Clear Wing seems to be a hot-head like Yugo, given its brash leading him on to challenge the other dragons. Yuri's dragon might share his destructive sadism given its knocking off the iceberg. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 22:28, June 17, 2015 (UTC)

Silhouette of Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon

In episode 18 during Yuto's flashback of his battle with Yugo in the Xyz Dimension, a silhouette of Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon is briefly present. Might the person who extracted the screenshot of the silhoette of Clear Wing also extract the silhouette of Dark Rebellion? After all, it's from the same episode as the Clear Wing silhouette.

Starve venom silhouette

Huummm. Fusion dragon is very different from the silhouette, it is sure that are the same monster? I say, Starve Venom Fusion Dragon (How scary name) haves horns, five fingers, green eyes and his wings are similar to odd-eyes. The silhouette haves no horns, three fingers, red eyes and very dragon-like wings. It very probable to be different monsters. Not?--Dragonempeorslayer (talkcontribs) 01:19, February 4, 2016 (UTC)

The eyes aren't exactly an indication (Clear wing had red eyes as a silhouette too but yellow in reality), but I do see what you mean. It's possible that Starve Venom's design wasn't finalized at the time, but we really don't know at this point and it would be strange for them to show a monster that wasn't Yuri's dragon like that, so it's best to assume that it was Starve Venom at this point. Yuri references in own dragon

Uuuumh. I have taken note of the release of Starve proxie and i have noted that

  • The first effect, gains ATK. As the higher member of academia, he haves always more power than everybody (exceptions aside)
  • The second effect, copy opponent monsters, he is a look like to the Yuya, Yuto and Yugo, he uses it to gets advantage to fool Yuto and Yugo to fight each other due to the "copy" faces.
  • The last, destruction, he is a obvious crazed sociopath sadist that takes pleasure of destroy.

Four Dragons = Four Horsemen

Anyone else think of this theory? Clear Wing = Conquest Odd-Eyes = War Starve Venom = Famine Dark Rebellion = Death

I know their colors are off from what the steeds were, but really, it's kinda an interesting theory. Zahadrin (talkcontribs) 07:57, June 24, 2016 (UTC)

Oh man, exept that odd-eyes is all but war, as his owner is affter all trying to prevents one. Well mayble, Clear wings due it owner trying to conquest the Friendship cup, Dark rebellion due it owner is inded death (or not), Starve venon.... just reads the name, but...... Man that page ins't for theories, is to improves the article, this don't even makes a good piece of trivia. --Dragonempeorslayer (talkcontribs) 00:06, August 29, 2016 (UTC)

Is "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" still a Dimension Dragon?

With recent developments in the show, it's been revealed that the four dragons, "Odd-Eyes Dragon, "Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, "Clear Wing Synchro Dragon" and "Starve Venom Fusion Dragon", were all owned by Zarc, and are part of the whole split dimension thing. Doesn't this mean that "Odd-Eyes Dragon" is the dimension dragon of Standard, and "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" is an upgrade to it?

TharmBood (talkcontribs) 14:23, October 24, 2016 (UTC)

I'd be inclined to hold off for now. We don't know the significance of Yuya's pendant or Pendulum Monsters yet. On the one hand the show only shows OED, but the intro uses OEPD. DrakeyC (talkcontribs) 14:37, October 24, 2016 (UTC)
So far as the story is concerned, they're the same Dragon. Remember, "OED", as a card, no longer exists as it physically changed to "OEPD" in the first episode. Furthermore, look at the scenes where the Dragons are calling too/reacting to one another, it's the Dimension Dragons that have the reaction, not their upgrades, hence why we haven't seen the like of the "Pendulum Dragon" Fusions, or "OERD" involved in those scenes, despite existing for a fair chunk of them. Dimension Dragons or Summoning Dragons?

Maybe we should consider renaming this page to "Four Summon Dragons" or "Four Summoning Dragons" or something like that. Similar to the "Four Dimension Bracelets" aka "Natural Energy Bracelets", the dragons existed before the world was split and they are named after their Summoning methods. RedDrgn (talkcontribs) 20:30, November 9, 2016 (UTC)

I know that it doesn't make much sense in terms of lore, but the issue of Jump where the Dragons' alternate artworks were revealed used 4DD as the acronym for the dragons: as such, this series' closest thing to an official name is "Four Dimension Dragons", and if there's something that ought to be changed, that would be the Japanese name, from 4つの次元のドラゴン to 4DD. (Here's a link to the page in question). Though admittedly the terminology seems to be rather inconsistent, so everything could also be fine as it is... Possible name change for article

In "ARC-V 136", "Zarc" referred "OEPD", "DRXD", "CWSD" and "SVFD" as the "Four Heavenly Dragons" ('四天の龍' "Shiten no Ryū").

So, should the article name be changed to this one?--Supratim1986 (talkcontribs) 14:55, December 25, 2016 (UTC)

I we we do change the nam,e we finally have a confirmed official name for the Dragons, just like the Awakened Mode for example.--Its Hero Time! 15:45, December 25, 2016 (UTC)
I'm more inclined to believe he meant Shiten as 支点 (Fulcrum), with the Dragons being the key to his reincarnation and all. Also in the flashback in 126 he called them Chōten no ryū (Summit Dragons, as in at the top of the Summoning methods). Four Dimension Dragons on the other hand is a much more notable name, and is easier to remember since we used it for so long. Not to mention that it was used in the promotion for Dimension Box so it's still an official name. I'd say we don't move the page. --XBrain130™ (エックス) ブレーン130」 16:15, December 25, 2016 (UTC)
I agree. Four Dimension Dragons should be kept given its official status, and the duration of its usage. Four Heavenly Dragons sounds more like an informal way Zarc used to refer to his dragons (much like the Summit Dragons). Samhiuy (talkcontribs) 20:04, December 25, 2016 (UTC)

Fair enough --Its Hero Time! 16:47, December 25, 2016 (UTC)

Four Heavenly Dragon is official as Zarc called, but only in the anime, as Brain say, is official via the Dimension Box for TCG/OGC. So Four Heavenly Dragons is more like a nickname for the archetype used by Zarc, so Four Dimension Dragons is truly official. However, the term Four Dimension Dragons comes from the four dimension, but Zarc haves it before it becomes four dimensions, so it means that Four Heavenly Dragons is more like official in universe (Since haves no four dimensions to names then as Four Dimension Dragons). --Dragonempeorslayer (talkcontribs) 22:46, December 26, 2016 (UTC)

Before agreeing to something I'd like to ask. Where was it officially stated in Dimension Box that they are called "Four Dimension Dragons"? For all we know it could also be a placeholder name too --BGMaxie (talkcontribs) 16:22, January 2, 2017 (UTC)
http://i.imgur.com/mUO9pLD.jpg It's even literally linked by the reference in the first sentence of the page proper. --XBrain130™ (エックス) ブレーン130」 17:54, January 2, 2017 (UTC)

Supreme King Servant Dragon Variants

Should they be included in this page as an upgraded form? Or should they have their own category? The page defines it as: "Yuya and his dimensional counterparts receive newer forms of their Dimension Dragons by using them as Material for the three types of Extra Deck Summoning". Dark Rebellion was not used as Material for its Supreme King Servant Dragon Variant after all. Everything about the card is the same except for its stronger effects. Can it really be called an Upgraded Form? Or should it be called Supreme King Servant Dragon forms/counterparts? Samhiuy (talkcontribs) 22:18, January 8, 2017 (UTC)
