Burning Abyss doesn't belong to the "Abyss-" archetype regardless due to the hyphen in the name. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 18:27, February 15, 2015 (UTC)

How is Rank-Up-Magic Astral Force good in this deck?[]

All it does is rank-up Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss to Constellar Pleiades, and Mechquipped Angineer to Artifact Durendal/Tiras, Keeper of Genesis/Number C102: Archfiend Seraph. I looked at Card Tips:Rank-Up-Magic Astral Force, and I couldn't find any particularly effective Rank 3 to Rank 5 moves. Are there any Rank 5's that I missed that can Astral Force from good Rank 3's like Leviair the Sea Dragon, Wind-Up Zenmaines, and Ghostrick Alucard? --Citrus.juicebox (talkcontribs) 08:36, August 12, 2014 (UTC)

"Mechquipped Angineer" to "Tiras, Keeper of Genesis," "Grenosaurus" to "Number 61: Volcasaurus," "Chronomaly Crystal Chrononaut" to "Number C69: Heraldry Crest of Horror," and "Ghostrick Alucard" to "Crimson Knight Vampire Bram." First has two fantastic cards, second has one decent and one excellent, third has a solid card and a monster, fourth has a fantastic card and a gimmicky, yet useful card. Burning Abyss can also use "Tannhauser Gate" to bring out Rank 6's like "Gauntlet Launcher" "Photon Strike Bounzer" which can be Ranked-Up by "Astral Force" into "Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand," and "Pleiades" in this Deck and the above-mentioned Rank 6 capabilities allow "Constellar Ptolemy M7." Thanks for elucidating! I was really tired last night, and I couldn't think too well. --Citrus.juicebox (talkcontribs) 20:38, August 12, 2014 (UTC)
You're most welcome. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 21:37, August 12, 2014 (UTC)

FYI, the Abyss- archetype only has supports for its Spell/Trap Cards (Mermail Abyssleed and Mermail Abyssmegalo's Effect was written pretty clear I believed) so I don't think we would need to mind if the Burning Abyss archetype belongs to the Abyss- archetype Shootingquasardragon1997 (talkcontribs) 11:50, February 15, 2015 (UTC)

Not part of the "Abyss" archetype[]

Would it be safe to say that, now that a scan of "Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss" for Extra Pack 2015 has been revealed, this archetype is not a part of the "Abyss-" archetype because the Kanji doesn't include "アビス"? --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 16:06, July 14, 2015 (UTC)

Yes. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:41, July 14, 2015 (UTC)
IMO it should have been obvious from the start anyway, from the way they called the water archetype as "Abyss-", with a symbol at the end, it's clearly to differentiate it from any future cards that has "Abyss" in it.Order (talkcontribs) 01:47, September 11, 2015 (UTC)
