Yami Marik "merges" with Ra in an attempt to defeat Yami Yugi and Yugi

Point-to-Point Transfer, known as One Turn Kill in the Japanese anime and manga, is a unique special ability of the "The Winged Dragon of Ra".

In the anime and manga, the controller of "The Winged Dragon of Ra" can pay all but 1 of their Life Points to increase its ATK and DEF by the same amount of Life Points paid. The player can also choose to Tribute all other monsters they control to transfer their total combined ATK and DEF to Ra's ATK and DEF respectively.

In the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, during the final duel both the English and Japanese versions have Marik Ishtar explain that “The Winged Dragon of Ra” could increase its attack from 5000 to almost 15000 by the Pharaoh even though it was Tribute Summoned. In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Franz was also able to activate this effect of a Tribute Summoned "The Winged Dragon of Ra".

In the TCG/OCG, the player instead can pay all of their LP but 100 to increase the ATK and DEF of "The Winged Dragon of Ra" by the amount paid, and this effect can only be activated when "The Winged Dragon of Ra" is Normal Summoned.

When using this ability, the controller of "The Winged Dragon of Ra" merges with it. However, in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, the controller being merged with "The Winged Dragon of Ra" does not apply to Jaden Yuki, even though it does apply to his opponent Franz, who held the copy originally. If the owner is separated from "The Winged Dragon of Ra" (i.e. by way of "De-Fusion"), they gain Life Points equal to Ra's ATK, and Ra's ATK and DEF drop to 0.
