"Number 10X" (
This archetype's name is somewhat unusual in that the exact string "10X" does not actually appear in any of its members' names. Instead, the clause 「Xは1~7の任意の数値」 "X is any number from 1 to 7" is printed. The OCG/TCG card text instead supports each member individually, using the phrase "1 monster that has a number between "Number 101" and "Number 107" in its name" (「No.101」~「No.107」のいずれかをカード名に含むモンスター1体).
Story
In Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, the "Over-Hundred Numbers" are malignant versions of the "Number" cards designed by Don Thousand to corrupt the Seven Barian Emperors, who have been reincarnated due to each being connected to one of the Number ruins. This corrupts their original memories and allows them to serve him in the restoration of his power. When each of the Barian Emperors was about to die Don Thousand would appear to them and attach each of the "Numbers" to their soul thus filling them with hate. The falsified memories (besides Nash, who revealed he let himself become a Barian of his own volition) they contain can be countered by the corresponding Mythyrian Number".[2] Unlike the first 100 "Numbers", Astral cannot absorb them since they are not pieces of his memory.[1]
Each "Number 10X" monster has its own Chaos form. The one of "Number 104: Masquerade" is the only Chaos form with a different Attribute than its base form. Also, every Chaos form of each "Number 10X" has a red energy coursing through their being, common among all "C" monsters ranked up through "Barian" Rank-Up spells.
A Barian Emperor whose "Number 10X" was destroyed by its corresponding Mythyrian "Number" and loses in the same Duel, forfeits the ability to play his "Number 10X".[3] Unlike the other Emperors, it is revealed that Nash willingly became a Barian, and as such the curse cannot be dispelled.[4]
