A Normal Set is when you play and Set a monster directly from your hand. It can only be performed when the game state is open during your Main Phase.
A Normal Set can only be conducted once per turn, just like Normal Summon. A Normal Set will take up your Normal Summon for the turn, and vice-versa.
If the monster you want to Normal Set is Level 5 or higher, you must Tribute another monster(s) you control first and then “Tribute Set” the monster (you do not show your opponent the monster you Set). Level 5 and 6 require one Tribute, while Level 7 and higher require two Tributes.
You cannot Normal Set Special Summon Monsters.
