Lua and Luca are twins who aid Yusei Fudo, whom they adore and support in his duels while making fun of fate. Lua, the older twin, is lively and blundering. Luca is calm and collected.

Luca gets tired right after a duel. She also has the ability to communicate with duel monsters. Much to her brother's irritation, she tends to candidly point out the various flaws in Lua's plans and flatly insult him.

Characters biography

The twins live together in the Tops resident area. They spend most of their time alone together as their parents are usually at work. They are educated via the internet, so they spend most of their time inside.

Luca was randomly selected as someone to participate in the Fortune Cup. Not feeling like participating, Lua plans to disguise himself as her and participate.

Lua and Luca's names

Luca was able to sense Yusei, when he was shocked by the police officers. The two of them rescue him his duel with Ushio and take him to their home. Yusei wants to leave feeling like he's putting them in danger. But Lua talks him into a Duel. After Yusei wins, they manage to get him to stay for the night.

Lua and Luca awake the next morning to find that Yusei had left after modifying their Duel Disks to fit their small arms. Lua then leaves with Tenpei to find and duel the Black Rose Witch, and eventually meets up with Yusei again. Soon, the Witch appears, but leaves after seeing Yusei's Dragon's Birthmark, which disgusts her. Lua demonstrates fear for both the Witch and the Birthmark, possibly indicating that he has one of his own, as a shot of one of the dragon's claws is seen.

The next day, Lua enters the Fortune Cup in disguise as Luca, but quickly loses to Bommer after a hard-fought duel (on Lua's part). However, using Akutsu's Signer-detecting technology, Jeager is able to not only determine that Bommer dueled Lua instead of Luca, but that Luca is a Signer.

Appearance

Lua and Luca are fraternal twins. They have the same green hair color, same height, same clothes style and identical yellow-brown eyes, however they're not identical because they're differnet genders.

Lua wears his hair in a ponytail held by a blue band in the back of his head. His hoodie with short sleeves and shorts are very light blue (almost white), and he wears a dark blue, short sleeved shirt with a yellow, vertical line pattern. A blue belt is around his shorts. His sneakers are white with black soles, and he wears black wristbands with a jagged white pattern.

Luca wears her hair in two ponytails held by two blue bands on both sides of her head. Her hoodie with short sleeves is light pink, and she wears a long sleeved, red shirt with a yellow, vertical line pattern. A red belt is around her waist and she wears pink shorts. On her feet are pink and white sneakers with black soles.

Deck

Lua plays a Deformer Deck that features an Archetype of monsters known as "Deformers" whose effects are dictated by Battle Position. The monsters' appearances are derived from various objects such as mobile phones, lighters, and magnets.

Luca is apparently suppossed to duel in episodes 18 and 19, using a spirit deck. The evidence in this is becuase of the title "The Ancient Forest: Invitation to the Spirits' World". All the evidence mentioned in this paragraph is from Yugioh Janime.com
