Ishizu primarily plays a Egyptian Themed Fairy Deck in the anime, but in contrast to the traditional Fairy-Type monsters, Ishizu's Fairies are EARTH Attribute and have Egyptian appearances. In various video games, she uses a wide variety of themes and monsters.

Ishizu primarily plays EARTH Attribute Fairy-Type monsters which bear an Egyptian appearance. To counter Seto Kaiba's strategy of sending large amounts of cards to her Graveyard, her Deck revolved around returning his cards to his Deck so that she could activate "Exchange of the Spirit" and cause him to Deck Out. Yami Marik mentioned that Ishizu even defeated Marik in the past with her Deck.

Dark Duel Stories (Duel Monsters III: Tri-Holy God Advent)
Ishizu appears in Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories (known in Japan as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters III: Tri-Holy God Advent) as an opponent in the third tier set in ancient Egypt. Ishizu's deck consists of powerful female Monsters augmented by some of the most powerful Magic Cards in the game. Her most powerful Monster is Cosmo Queen.
