This series mostly consists of Extra Deck monsters of which almost all of them were released in the early stages of a new era to promote a new type of Summoning mechanic, beginning with "Gaia the Dragon Champion" in Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon, one of the first Fusion Monsters to be released.
Although this series is not a part of the "Gaia The Fierce Knight" archetype, it is thematically related to it.
