So i was wondering what some people think the best STAPLES are. Cards that do not apply specifically to one strategy, but help in a lot of cases. In my opinion, the best cards are as follows:

monsters

spells

traps

Pot of Duality is good for finding the right card you'll need for the moment without needing to run through potential dead draws. Hopefully. Sangan is a universal mini-monster searcher that triggers when sent from the field to the Graveyard regardless of how it got there. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 02:44, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

  • Are you talking about cards that are currently tournament legal or there is no restrictions to the category?

Oh, sorry. Staples. Well then your list is pretty inexact since a lot aren't even close to staples. Now then: My list of top staples:

  1. Pot of Duality - It makes decks so much more consistent
  2. Solemn Judgment - Stops ANY CARD
  3. Sangan - Second best searcher and a totally amazing card
  4. Giant Trunade - It's like Cold Wave although it's not necessarily as good-Cold Wave can be combined with cards like Mobius or X-Saber Wayne (or whatever it's called)
  5. Stardust Dragon - It can make people forfeit really quickly
  6. Monster Reborn - Best resurrection card ever

  • Monster Cards

+ Witch Of The Black Forest -- Too powerful, that's why it joined the "forbidden" club.

  • Spell Cards

+ Change Of Heart -- Again, too powerful, yet another club member.

+ Premature Burial -- Ultra cheap monster rescurrection when combined with "Giant Trunade"! Yet another club member.

  • Trap Cards

+ Call Of The Haunted -- See combo with "Giant Trunade", yet another club member.
