Anyway, gimme all of your opinions about how they could fix the God cards, at least in not ways that are considered "too dramatic". :) Xerdek! (talk • contribs) 08:25, August 9, 2012 (UTC)

To be fair, Ra is the only one that could be considered "bad". What I mean by that is that Obelisk and Slifer mainly retain their iconic effects in the show. Slifer is "good", but since there aren't very many +1 or more draw cards out there, thus his potential is low. Maybe a Thunder deck could do something with him. Obelisk is the best because he retains his destruction effect and can be special summoned. Also he has a very high set attack and can be Special Summoned. Frogs are the only deck that he is necessarily useful in right now, and they don't even need him. Ra on the other hand wasn't probably nerfed for his sake, but for the sake of The Creator God of Light, Horakhty. I personally think that they should have either given him his ATK gaining effect with tributed monsters (original tribute, kind alike Neptune), or make his destruction effect wipe the entire field along with magic and trap protection like Obelisk. That way Horakhty wouldn't be broken and Ra would still be pretty strong, just a pain to get on the field. Okay, so I've been watching some videos from Season Three of the original series, and I notice something completely obvious (not noticed but reminded). I remembered how much Marik abused the heck out of a Monster Reborn/Ra combo and I'm like, "That is what Ra is known for, being Special Summoned." I see the only MAJOR flaw with Ra is that he cannot be Special Summoned. I think that the following would make it a really decent card:
Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. During the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Send it to the Graveyard. When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned: You can pay Life Points so that you only have 100 left; this card gains ATK and DEF equal to the amount of Life Points paid. You can pay 1000 Life Points to target 1 monster on the field; destroy that target.

Anyway, gimme all of your opinions about how they could fix the God cards, at least in not ways that are considered "too dramatic". :) Xerdek! (talkcontribs) 08:25, August 9, 2012 (UTC)
