What was the first card anyone here ever got, be it in your first pack, freind gave you it, held it for the first time. only one card and it must be your FIRST. Mine is The Little Swordsman of Aile. Got it from a friend about 7 years ago. I still have it with me, right next to my mouse to be exact. Hah. Good old days. Adamtheamazing64 (talkcontribs) 22:23, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Seiyaryu. Or, as the Japanese call it, Holy Night Dragon. Dark Magician's 2100 Defense Points can go cry in a corner.--Akiza Izayoi 23:57, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Mines was Wall Shadow but never got Labyrinth Wall. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 01:12, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Mine was Dream Clown. CardGamesFTW (talkcontribs) 05:02, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Rofl for gay clowns! Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 05:30, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

It's hard to say... Might have been Lesser Dragon. Might have been Blue-Eyes. Lesser was from a pack my dad bought me. Blue-Eyes was from a deck my mom bought me. That's all I can remember. --Blue (Talk) 05:35, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Lol they are both dragons. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 05:38, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Really? Two completely unnecessary posts on the same topic? As I said before, unless you can strike a relevant conversation, please stop.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 05:41, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

If I can remember, my first card was... "Twin-Headed Fire Dragon"! I don't know why it was my first card. I'm still a newb and young back then, and basically Yugioh is still a "children's card game" without those silly and complicated stuffs and strategy so this monster still suffice to say the least. --SilentHero26 (talkcontribs) 07:52, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Wow, in the beginning huh... Well, I think my first card that I used was Lucky Trinket.-- HHTurtle  (Talk) 08:35, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

mine was the mighty blue eyes white dragon if you don't count decks because i had a kaiba deck then i stopped playing and i came back from zero 4 years later then i bought blue eyes on ebayJJXY (talkcontribs) 14:30, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

The Dark Magician! Why not ? :p I then got a whole load of cards of my sister's boyfriend's brother who didn't play anymore... then i stopped playing for a few years, and i come back, find my dark magician and its worth 17.50! :D I still cherish it and love it, and it's on the first page of my collecting folder :) IonCharge (talkcontribs) 20:31, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

I can't remember what was first, my first single card was Muka Muka (earlier that day some guy wanted to sell me a Bubonic Vermin, yeah you heard right a single common Bubonic Vermin for $5!!!!,back then you could easilly get a Dark Magician for that much money) though my first booster pack was a Metal Riders I got as a gift from a friend (It had Sword of Deep-Seated, Niwatori, Punished Eagle, Armored Zombie, Giltia the D. Knight, Electric Lizard and Hoshiningen) To this day I still own all of them.HouseholdCatDeity (talkcontribs) 04:24, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

Who would sell a fake hamster on a card for 5 dollars when they can buy a real one for 1 or 2 dollars? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 12:48, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

Mine was Curse of Dragon I think. It was in spanish^^. Good old days, when cards wasn't capable of OTK you, and it was fun couse there wasn't that much confusing effects--Gabriel 95 (talkcontribs) 13:00, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

Mine was the Dark Magician I got with my first deck. It's still in my deck now as well. Haos serpenoid 500 14:11 June 28, 2010 (GMT)

Quite interesting topic. It brings back memories. Well, to tell the truth I'm not really sure which card was the first one I got. It could be Ogre of the Black Shadow. Hmm...I'm 70% sure that was the one. But still, it could also be Lord of D. or The Flute of Summoning Dragon. Those are the 3 cards I see in my mind. --Montechristo95 (talkcontribs) 13:15, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

For me; I got Dark Magician from Yugi Starter Deck (Not EVO) --FredCat100 (talkcontribs) 13:21, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

I've always had good luck with first packs from a set. *My first EVER pack had a Shiny Gaia the fierce knight in it. *My first Labyrinth of Nightmare had a Dark Necrofear in it. *My first Gladiator's Assault had a Gladiator Beast Octavius in it (my second had an ultimate rare Test tiger). The-Conman (talkcontribs) 15:49, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

My first card was Queen's Double, I had an interesting deck with her (lots of equips), got her from a friend, current location stolen. My first cards from a pack were a Holo Suijin which I traded for Monster Reborns, Changes of Heart etc... and Wingweaver.... Ahhh... the memories--BassNettoHikari2 (talkcontribs) 18:40, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

My frist cards are all yugi starter deck about of 9 years ago

People without putting the four tildes shouldn't be getting away with this. Well anyways why are people's first cards are dark magician or blue eyes? I mean wow. Are you guys destined for greatness or what? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 06:17, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Because maybe they bought the starter decks? I think I ended up getting Yugi, Joey and Pegasus Starter Decks... IonCharge (talkcontribs) 07:59, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Oh. Wow I forgot. It kind of figures that beginners go for starter decks. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 08:05, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

My first card was Ocubeam >_> The Horror'Speak if you dare 08:20, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

That thing pwns! Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 08:45, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Lol, my first card was Dark Magician. At least that's what I remember from ~6 years ago, anyway. --HybridDragoness (talkcontribs) 11:55, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Lol six years ago is 2004 and for some reason that sounds far away. My first card in 2010 this year was Junk Archer but it wasn't in a booster pack. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 18:49, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Back in the good ol days of 2001 we started selling Blue Eyes boosters at the Gamestop I worked at. I played pokemon at the time, but was curious about this game called Yu-Gi-Oh that sold out almost as fast we got shipments in. That christmas I decided to see what all the buzz was about and bought a Dark Magician tin. In the one pack of Blue Eyes I pulled a Red Eyes Black Dragon. I thought it was the coolest thing, and now that card is safely tucked away in my collection notebook as one of my personal favorites, just for that reason. Vulpine (talkcontribs) 04:28, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

That kind of explain why your username reminds me of a pokemon for some weird reason. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 06:20, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

My first cards were starter deck Kaiba and Yugi. I thought Blue-Eyes was the ultimate monster, at the time. A year or two later, someone stole it, with the Tri-Horned Dragon I got in a pack. If any one knows a Jesse Leckner, punch him in the face for me will ya.

It's already done spiritually and his blood is painted on my fist. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 06:33, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

I forgot which was my first authentic card (yeah, I was initiated by first playing with fakes...), but Inaba White Rabbit was one of the first cards I acquired through a booster I purchased myself. It's still with me. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 08:29, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

I wonder if Spirit monsters are still around people's decks. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 15:02, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

My first card was Time Wizard. I got more and more interested in the card game because of the show, and at a town festival, there was an old Korean man selling a vast majority of card games in his stand. I was looking at the cards carefully, and he noted that I looked interested. I told him I was but did not have the money to purchase a starter deck(I wanted the Blue Eyes White Dragon from the Kaiba deck). So he instead showed me two Metal Raiders packs, told me that one was $5, and he said he could sense I was a lucky one. I picked one, handed him my only $5, and took off with the pack. He told me to come back and open it, so I opened it in front of him. He reached in the booster and grabbed the rare card from it and out he pulled the Time Wizard! He yelled, "See, I knew you a lucky one!" And that's basically the story.

hat is the best first card story I've ever heard. I laugheed at the end of it. My story for the little swordsman of Allie was that I was playing my friend in basketball. He said that if I would win, he'd give me something if I wON> Being a naturally tall guy, I won. He pulled out a couple of common cards. I asked what game it was. He said yugioh. I took a look at them and was confused, but I liked the little Swordsman of allie. So I took it out. A few days later, I go to a hobby shop. (it is now sadly closed.) I ake my mother if she could buy me a starter deck Kaiba. And that is how I got my first card and how I started to play the game. Adamtheamazing64 (talkcontribs) 19:32, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Mine was a wrinkled terrible condition black luster soldier in chinese or japenese writing from my friend, which I then traded for Blue Eyes White Dragon, my all time favorite card. A few years later I somehow got my black luster soldier back, in the same condition as when I first held it.

I think my first card was Hiro's Shadow Scout, picked up off the ground or something, but the earliest card I had a connection with, (of the first 10 cards I owned) was Cure Mermaid. Thorn of RosenYubel (talkcontribs) 21:59, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

The first card i ever got was Karate Man that i received from a friend. Of the first pack I ever got were the cards Harpie Lady, Sword of Deep-Seated, and Garnecia Elefantis. yug18-11 18:14< July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Good times with duelist kingdom, good times. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 06:17, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp was my first. This was back in the day when I thought that the game was impossible to understand and wouldn't be for me. I was in primary school, Grade 3 I think, and I found this card on the ground. So I took it home and kept it in my room. At one point my younger sister found it and said it belonged to a friend of hers, and so she took it and gave it back. It was this card that inspired me to go see a friend of mine and ask about Yu-Gi-Oh! and get cards of my own. P.S- for people who don't understand the grading system, which I think is unlikely, I'm from AUS. P.P.S- sorry for being so long-winded! --User:Anonymous By Choice

Don't worry about it since not everyone is from America though. Everyone has their side of the card game. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 05:51, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

First card ever was Magna-Slash Dragon, and then later I traded something for a Gravi-Crush Dragon. They are very fun to use in Sacred Beast Decks. Drew-Gi-Oh! (talkcontribs) 21:13, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

I also find them awesome in crystal beast decks. It's like your infinite supply of destruction. No not really. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 22:33, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

Ahh, my first card that I got was Blue Eyes White Dragon from the starter deck Kaiba. It is still in good condition :)--HiddenLight333 (talkcontribs) 05:57, July 11, 2010 (UTC) HiddenLight333

Man good old times when everyone thought that Blue Eyes and Dark Magician don't need any tributing. Now it's satisfying with it. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 06:00, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

plain and simple, the Dark Magician. I remember when this game first started, they didn't even have the cards on display or anything, i had to ask for them. even when i quit and sold everything, I kept my first ed. starter deck Yugi Dark magician, and I still use it in a speed spellcaster beatdown deck. Shadowfox337 (talkcontribs) 08:45, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

torrential tribute

ive had this card for 8 years and have had it in my deck alll this time. people tried 2 rip me of and get cheap ways 2 get it but refused cauz it it was my first card. heres a message 2 all yugioh fans: never trade ur first card.

GAME OVER - PRESS "R" TO RETRY --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 09:10, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

Hey it worked! Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 15:35, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah it does have a good defense. Well not good but decent. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 06:48, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

this is gonig to sound really corny but oh well my first card was blue eyes white dragon, it was given to me by my best mate who sadly passed away a few years ago and so ive always usedc it in every1 of my decks--Dragonruler (talkcontribs) 07:35, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

First Card?

My first card was Dark Magician. That card kicks so much ass. I run 3 of him in my deck and with all of his beasty evolved forms, I whoop ass with him!

Check it out. Go to Youtube, look up Mechanic808Man, and comment on it. I need to revise, so i'm asking for ideas. =)

Hmmn, my first card.. if I remember correctly. It was when my uncle was playing and I picked up The Unfriendly Amazon Because it was a chick card and the art looked awesome. Or it could have been Man-Eater Bug, but I believe it was The Unfriendly Amazon that I first held. Though my first favorite card has to be Amazoness Swords Woman, then a year and a half later it was Belial - Marquis of Darkness, and finally it came down to Athena. Which happens to be my favorite to this day. (Love the Greek Gods) Metisou (talkcontribs) 08:49, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

7 years ago my first card i ever held in my life is Spirit of Flames..but it's a counterfeit card..i always play with counterfeit cards until 1 year ago my friends told me where to buy an original cards..and i bought Structure Deck 3: Blaze of Destruction..so the first original card i touched was Infernal Flame Emperor--Leonhartzz (talkcontribs) 14:12, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

My friend still has his cyber jar and i still have my gaia the fierce knight. Har-Magedon (talkcontribs) 22:15, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Sometimes I wonder if Gaia the Fierce Knight would still be worth the sacrifice. Then again, Spiral SHAVER! Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 05:44, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

My first card was "Three-legged Zombies." I still use them in my Zombie Deck today.

I think mine was Summoned Skull ...used to think I was bad ass with this...good times

Summoned Skull used to be the Frostosaurus of the past. I still think he's pretty cool. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 02:31, July 17, 2010 (UTC)
