This is my water synchro deck. Its focus is to summon synchro monsters, mainly catastor with deep sea diva. Its water based mainly for aqua spirit. The problem with it is that it is too inconstant. If I get deep sea diva, I win most of the time. If I don't, I near always lose. To try to fix this problem I tried adding in more tuners, but I still can't seem to synchro quick enough.

Well that’s the deck. I'm open to all suggestions, but remember, the main problem is getting tuner (especially deep sea diva). Bio 23:58, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

In my version of the Diva Synchro deck, there's a lot more WATER support. For example, I run:

  • 2 Swap Frog and 1 Treeborn Frog: Even if I can't always use Swap's effect to dump Treeborn, it's a level 2 monster that special summons from the hand, allowing for some good synchro summons. Treeborn also helps with the summons.
  • 3 Moray of Greed: I consider this to be an absolute MUST in WATER decks. You can do so well with it, and it'll help in getting Diva.
  • 3 Pot of Avarice: Don't use 3 right away; if your deck isn't fast enough it's a huge dead draw. Use 2 first: only use three once you're absolutely certain that you can use them very quickly.
  • 3 Salvage: Again, I recommend starting with 2 and seeing if 3 is useful.
  • 2 Skreech: Works very well with Salvage to get Diva on the second turn. Or I can mill Treeborn Frog.
  • 2 Fishborg Blaster: It's a pretty good card for the deck, and allows you to do what I call "stepping stone synchros". For instance, say you summon Deep Sea Diva and special summon Spined Gillman with its effect. You synchro for Gishilnodon. Then, special summon Swap Frog by discarding Fishborg Blaster, and use Blaster's effect to special summon it. Synchro summon a level 8 monster. Now you have at least 5 monsters in the grave for Pot of Avarice - this combo can happen first turn. Blaster is another very good target for Skreech.
  • 2 Abyss Soldier and 2 Armed Sea Hunter: They don't particularly help in synchro summoning, but they're both WATER beatsticks with very very good effects; Abyss Soldier bounces at the cost of a discard, and Armed Sea Hunter's negation ability will negate effects that activate in the graveyard OR on the field! (IE: Ram it into Stardust, then you use Smashing Ground and your opponent can't do a thing about it.) It's a great deal, as long as you have another WATER monster on field. This is easy to do with the deck.
  • 0 Mermaid Archer: Yes, it can boost to 2000 ATK on the first turn, but usually you're better off with the 2300-ATK Gishilnodon or the 2200-ATK-autodestroying Catastor. 3 Diva and 3 Gillman is enough in my deck, particularly with the recycling cards in it.

If you like those ideas, you can use them. Runer5h 02:03, November 25, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Omg....water got a draw card and I didn't notice! I have been saying how water needs a draw card, since lot of discard effects and no draw power, for years! I took out fishborg since it never got used in my deck. And I would have put salvage at 3 sooner, but I could never get enough monsters to use it on. I used mermaid archer as a spare level 3 for diva really. Since I can draw 2 spined, then use diva once and out. That’s for all the help, I can't wait to try this version. Also, I see you been busy with new decks during my hiatus XD Which reminds me, I never got that other version of the HAD deck I said I would try to make for ya (without dragons I think) XD Well thanks for the help with deck.
