As much as I love this game, I have been stuck with deck ideas. I guess you could say its a writer's block, and I haven't been able to get over it lately. So I'm asking what are some ways any of you would challenge this problem? Like what do you usually do when you've run out of ideas, I'm not asking for your deck ideas, just ways for ways you come up with them. Thanks for your time and for any information you can offer. I usually grab a bunch of random cards that I have, mix them up, and pick one. Then build a deck around it. Nice and simple, also while building around that card you may think of something new. Just a suggestion. ^_^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 03:18, April 8, 2013 (UTC)
I generally go looking through cards until I find a nice, unique combo. Then, I go about making a Deck to support that combo, and perhaps incorporate other combos into it. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:23, April 8, 2013 (UTC)
I usually search for a Series, Archetype, strategy or even a specific card I really like and I try to create a Deck around it. For example, my Reptile-type Deck, "Invasion of Reptiles", was created only because I wanted a Deck where I could run my favourite Reptile-type monster, Evil Dragon Ananta. So, what I recommend is to search for some card you like and try to create a cool deck where it can work. Kentaru Z (talkcontribs) 04:31, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

I use cards I seem to be guided to after getting 2 vanadis and the norse gods I made a Chaos Nordic deck and its not bad perhaps it might be fun to attempt Chiissu (talkcontribs) 04:54, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

Usually my inspiration comes from looking through Rulings or Tips pages (or, occasionally, thinking and coming up with them on my own) and finding really strange and wonderful combos to abuse (who would have thought thatStumbling and Gravity Axe - Grarl could combine into a deck that can not only wipe out nearly every monster it attacks, but stall pretty well as well. It's Lightsworn's worst nightmare). Other than that, I just try things out and if I like them, I keep using them. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 09:34, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for all the ideas, its really helping to see what other people do. I'll try to take some of these into account when I go to make a new deck at some point soon. Hastydemon2 (talkcontribs) 14:02, April 8, 2013 (UTC)
