Old School Spellcaster Deck

So there is my deck. Most of it is quite old school and I would appreciate all suggestions. I'm not into those synchro cards (mainly because I don't understand them lol) but I do love Spellcasters. I would have loved to put in a Dark Magician Girlin this deck but sadly I don't own a copy. Please feel free to say whether or not you feel that this deck could hold its own and if it can't, all suggestions (other than synchros) would be welcomed. --KingofCards (talk • contribs) 03:56, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
ok 2 things: 1. Could you give me sort of an idea of what you want for this deck. And like how you kinda want it to change, say more swarming, more spell card support. You know? 2. Ok, so here are some things I saw.
Honestly I suggest that you take out Senju, Magician of Black Chaos and Black Magic Ritual. Those would really slow down the speed of your deck. Like say if you needed something and you drew Magician of Black Chaos..not a good idea. You aren't doubling up on any cards that would really help this deck. Like another Magical Dimension. I'd take out that Dust Tornado for a second Mystical Space Typhoon. Hmm..yeah how does this deck normally play for you? Aznskills90214 (talk • contribs) 21:45, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
I understand your comments and they are very helpful. I have made one change though prior to your comments and after this deck list. I took out Chaos Sorcerer and added in Invader of Darkness (card). The easiest way for me to win with this deck would be to have Royal Command face up, Sorcerer of Dark Magicand Invader of Darkness (card)all up at the same time, effectively making my opponent defenseless. I know there are other ways to block my opponents traps and spells but I find these effects very useful. I could use Jinzosince it is a lot easier to summon than Sorcerer of Dark Magicbut I hate the fact that it negates my trap cards too. And as for your questions, the first question is yes, I like to swarm with magicians by using spell counters and for the second question, the answer is how would a trade be possible? --KingofCards (talk • contribs) 00:55, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

Ok I think you have an Unbalance amount of High Levels to Low Levels. I normally only run three high level monsters. You're running 8 high levels to 10 low levels. That kinda slows down your deck. And if you did what I suggested in taking out Senju and Magican of Chaos that brings it to 7:9 which is too close of a ratio in my opinion. You have maybe 5-6 two tribute monsters and 2 one tribute monsters? Just by saying that, you kinda get the idea of how fast the deck is right? Have you run into the issue of having too many high level monsters and not being able to draw a low level one? Or after you summon a low level one it gets destroyed and you're stuck? I say you kinda drop some of the high level cards and add in some more low level ones I suggest another Breaker the Magical Warrior and Magical Exemplar.
