Revision as of 16:09, 12 August 2012

It's hinting that Lightray maybe obtaining Lightray Magician and Blue-Eyes Lightray Dragon, but I can't prove it any further than just this. And it was found in GameFAQ - [1]. Thank you for take your time to read this. --iFredCat 14:36, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

A very interesting find Fredcat. Don't know if it will happen but one can hope. That would certainly be amazing if they were true, but since specualtion isn't allowed, maybe you can put this on the forums. Neos01 (talkcontribs) 14:51, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

Ok, thank you. --iFredCat 14:52, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

Hmm.. I don't think the altered Black Magician (sorry, I tend to use the Japanese names more) is a Lightray monster. He doesn't have the color schemes (the Blue-Eyes respects it however). Maybe they're just another incarnation of the original ones. HPZ - O.N.E. (talkcontribs) 17:55, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, the Blue-Eyes probably is a Lightray, but the Magician seems really Dark...Darkrays anyone? Or they might have released a new Chaos Monster of some sort? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 18:24, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
Looks like a "Dark Magician of Prophecy" to me. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 18:29, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

Well, they seem to be stronger versions, maybe they're Chaos versions of Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes Whute Dragon. Whatever they are, they look really cool and powerful.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 18:41, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

Maybe, but they look like complete opposites of each other that are fighting each other. Truthfully, they both look awesome, and I hope they have good effects, and balanced summoning conditions for those effects. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 18:50, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

Lightray verisons of Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes White Dragon (maybe) i hope they have both have high atk and strong effects. Can't wait when they release more info on them. I have my fingers cross for a lightray version of Armed Dragon lv10 in the future. --108.225.20.64 (talk) 19:05, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

Just noticed that but the armor of the Black Magician looks a lot like Haou's one.. Anyway, I think their ATK/DEF stats will be unchanged from there original counterpart. That would be the most logical thing to me.. Then, again, they have to be confirmed. HPZ - O.N.E. (talkcontribs) 20:42, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
HPZ, that's alright - I also used "Osiris" name over "Slifer" several times. So I respect your choice of that names. And interesting thinking, Goldy - So guess Yugi's and Seto's generation reclaim their former into new forms. --iFredCat 20:57, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

I have to say, that spellcaster can't be a Lightray, every lightray has a blue, yellowish color theme. Maybe the Darklord have found their ultimate weapon and maybe Lightray have found their ultimate weapon as well. My Thoughts is, that dragon is related to Blue Eyes but not to Lightray. That Spellcaster is related to Dark Magician but not to Darklord or anything of that kind. It might be related to Prophecy, but i kinda doubt that. Just take a look at the missing tarot cards and you will see why. I've seen the mat on a blog, and one the comments were that the spellcaster needs 3 level 7 monsters, and the dragon needs 3 level 8. That kinda explains it why, just Look at Blue Eyes Ultimate dragon and you will see why. Overall, we have 2 days to keep saying our thoughts. On the finals the cards/monsters will be revealed.
P.S: If this dragon isn't a lightray version of Blue Eyes, then this monster is Yellow Eyes White/blue/grey dragon. --Falling Stars and Laggia Will rebirth(Talk) 21:39, August 10, 2012 (UTC)

If those are the materials, then they're definitely Match Winners. Such a shame, since they have awesome artwork. MadRest 01:31, August 11, 2012 (UTC)

If these guys are match winners, I'll be really, really depressed. That Blue-Eyes looks wonderful. 71.72.168.17 (talk) 01:51, August 11, 2012 (UTC)

what a let down, both card are match winners - i hope we be able to use these cards in a duel but you can't. Both cards are just going to collect dust at the back of someone binder. I rather want another alternate artwork of Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician than this. --108.225.20.64 (talk) 06:32, August 11, 2012 (UTC)

I'm gonna send Konami an email about it. Not expecting anything much, of course, I'm not a fool, but I wanna make it clear that I'm not pleased, and that I know that I'm not alone in the displeasure. I was so hoping that what with the World Premiere card in the Samurai Structure deck and the World Premiere of The Seal of Orichalcos they'd be changing stuff up with awesome new World Premiere tourey prize cards. It is really a shame, they've actually got me excited again recently, and a new Blue-Eyes card for my deck would have been the perfect thing to help my mood along.

The other thing is that unlike tournament legal cards, these suckers never get reprinted. So I'll have to shell out a bunch for a useless card if I really want it. Which my love of Blue-Eyes is trying to get me to do, even though my practical side has put it's foot down. 71.72.168.17 (talk) 08:35, August 11, 2012 (UTC)

Great, it's appeared that they are both other Match-Winner Illegal cards... In Xyz Form again. As seen here.
"Dark Magician" one is known as "Legendary Magician of Dark" and "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" is known as "Legendary Dragon of White".
They both required to Xyz Summoned and can't Special Summoned by other ways.
They required 3 Xyz Materials to Overlaying (only except the fact that Dark Magician is Rank 7 while BEWD is Rank 8)
To win the match, their Materials must be at least 1 matched type as their own type.
Oh hell.
"Legendary Magician of Dark"
Rank 7
Spellcaster / DARK / 2500 / 2000
Must be xyz summoned and cannot be special summoned by other ways. If this card attacks your opponent directly and reduces their life points to 0, while it has an xyz material attached that was originally Spellcaster-type, you win the match.
"Legendary Dragon of White"
Rank 8
Dragon / LIGHT / 3000 / 2500
Must be xyz summoned and cannot be special summoned by other ways. If this card attacks your opponent directly and reduces their life points to 0, while it has an xyz material attached that was originally Dragon-type, you win the match.
--iFredCat 10:46, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
Well that sucks. I was really hoping they were Lightray or other cool alternate forms, but match winners we can't use? Lame. Neos01 (talkcontribs) 11:58, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
Indeed, Konami should stop making those Match Winner - it's just waste of cards already. And that's second set of Xyz Monsters they put in Match Winner so far. --iFredCat 12:06, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
Oh my god... you suck Konami. They've wasted remakes of original cards on this?? Still, I guess we shouldn't have expected anything more, haven't all WC promos thus far been illegal? 108.196.206.15 (talk) 12:13, August 11, 2012 (UTC)

Ahh bummer, they looked sooooo cool. Ahh, it's depressing, I mean sure we shouldn't have expected much, but at least you could have used less cool artwork. Maybe someone can use the image scans for Tokens? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 12:57, August 11, 2012 (UTC)

Next time they make a card that is by default Illegal, I demand they cut the match-winner crap and make Chaos End Ruler -Ruler of the Beginning and the End- :P. 108.196.206.15 (talk) 15:07, August 11, 2012 (UTC)

Indeed, other anime card that didn't make to real life, like "Colorless, Chaos King of Dark World". --iFredCat 16:36, August 11, 2012 (UTC)

Wow, those are the dumbest effects ever. Of course if your opponent's LP reach 0 you win. DUH!!
