With the lack of admins resolved 2 months ago by BertH, the wikia starts to reform. And I think it's time the wikia gets a new personnel to help moderate the place. However, some discussion need to be made before executing these changes.

As a general basis, should there be a new set of personnel to help with the wikia?

We could use more people with the tools to delete and lock pages. I can't be 24 hours monitoring the site, and there are times when it's good to react quickly than having to wait for someone to clean up the mess made by vandals and the sort. ☺ Energy X ☻ 23:20, November 10, 2018 (UTC)
Demotion of previous Admins
Disclaimer: This is not my idea, but the Staff in charge of this proposal's.
As part of this change, the Staff said old admin personnel are to be retired.
As the demotion has already been executed, this section is closed.
It's more of a security issue than anything. After all, if they really want their user rights back, we can give them. It's not like we can't return those admin rights. They only need to prove whether they are capable to use such tools. ☺ Energy X ☻ 23:20, November 10, 2018 (UTC)

While I am new to this site, and understand that the admins have left. I oppose the idea of removing their rights. However, they should be listed as "Inactive admins" instead. 0123456789 The Great (talk • contribs) 03:33, November 9, 2018 (UTC)
Seconding what 0123456789 The Great said above in his opposition plus adding my take of this:
- Rescinding the "former" admins essentially annuls the recognition of their hard work imo; it's myopic to just straight-up abrogate this title that the "old guard" earned through their endeavors here! Having followed this Wiki since my junior year of high school, I've practically grown up seeing their work not too long after this Wikia's advent. It's their commitments to this Wikia that over time, has made this site my de facto go-to for everything YGO (not counting select YugiTubers I keep up with too.)
- Having visited YugiPedia on occasion, the site still seems to have a few kinks that need fixing (e.g. the whole site often goes down with a message saying that it's experiencing technical difficulties. Also, I sometimes found searches and link clicks lagging.) If the former mainstays that are now on 'Pedia' ever wanna abscond the site and come back, we should welcome them with open arms. Though I don't ever see that happening on account of, (similar to Bulbapedia,) YGO has gotten so expansive and mainstream as an anime, manga and card game franchise that it certainly warrants a standalone Wiki outside of Fandom.
Nevertheless, whether they do come back or no, the first troop earned their stripes--accolades that should be acknowledged here for all of time. Thus, I don't believe this admin revoking shouldn't even be up for debate. --May FORZA be with you, your loved ones and friends! (talk • contribs) 18:28, November 15, 2018 (UTC)
Nomination of new Content Moderators and Administrators
To fill up the blank of the wikia. Here's the place where we can nominate trusted people for special user rights.
A very dedicated person. However doesn't speak too much. He is shown to occasionally stuck and sit as good as helpless, waiting for admins to clean the page for him. 0123456789 The Great (talk • contribs) 03:33, November 9, 2018 (UTC)

I totally never noticed his presence here unless I check Listusers, because his worka are mostly with the background. Sorry for that. 0123456789 The Great (talk • contribs) 03:33, November 9, 2018 (UTC)
Personally, I only put the candidates for deletion tag on pages whee I feel it's appropriate based on the rules. We do have people uploading things that are either not named properly or are the wrong filetype. Those deserve the candidates for deletion tag. --MasterMarik (talk • contribs) 12:19, November 9, 2018 (UTC)
On previous staff demotion
As someone who greatly admired the work of previous staff on the wiki and wishes them the best on Yugipedia, I think that only ones that won't come back should be demoted (I know for a fact that an "inactive admin" tag won't stop newbies and such). Should that happen, I think there should be a way to aknowledge the huge work they did for this wiki. --AzureKesil (talk • contribs) 18:05, November 9, 2018 (UTC)
- Maybe a "Retired Admin" task could work. 0123456789 The Great (talk • contribs) 12:50, November 10, 2018 (UTC)
