I don't really get why this card is forbidden seriously, unless there's something it's not explained on Card Tips:Mind Master, I don't get the point.

It says you can cause 7400 points of damage on a clear field with other 2 psychic types monster, oh well a Black soldier with honest can do the same by attacking an opponent's monster with 1400 ATK and you can also play Cyber dragon and DNA surgery to get chimeratech over dragon, then playing limiter removal you achieve even greater damage apart from cleaning you opponents monster zone, and there are many other combos that can do that or even greater damage with 3 cards.

It says it can FTK, ok so can the Gallis the Star Beast FTK with one less card and none of the cards that form part of the combo are limited in any way, and it's that the card you combo to FTK are that great on their own (only one that's good is emergency teleport).

The third combo to draw is the same, you need 4 cards and in this case not even one of them is really good on its own.

Finally there's a 5 card combo (3 on field and 1 in hand for Hushed Psychic cleric effect) with 2 limited cards that on best case scenario it would allow you to synchro summon twice and draw 2 cards via librarian while achieving 2 monsters on the field. If using 5 cards, I'd better be winning with exodia.

So... Is there any real reason this card is forbidden?

Konami doesn't like multi-use cards that create long loops. It prevents them from releasing certain types of cards in the future. See Substitoad. In addition to that, with Mind Master you can get Exodia (using Caam) - all you need is one Psychic-Type monster and some card that lets you get a second Psychic Type monster (preferably Psychic Feel Zone). Gallis is a good card but the FTK is not nearly as easy to pull off (Mind Master has One for One and Emergency Teleport). The Psychic Cleric Combo is just bad because you have to get things exactly right plus you can only get one Librarian, making it rather useless. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 19:26, November 17, 2011 (UTC)

Don't compare a Mind Master OTK to the Gallis FTK. The Gallis FTK demands that you use a Deck that's mostly monsters. That's a very risky thing to do. Mind Master can pull off the FTK without needing such a radical Monster/Spell/Trap distribution. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 11:09, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

You don't need that radical spell/trap card distribution if you use Cockroach Knight. I tested the Gallis FTK with more spell/trap support and this card and doesn't seem worse than the version without s/t. I guess mind master OTK is still easier to get, though.

Cockroach Knight adds inconsistency and makes Gallis useless (whereas in Monster Mash using its effect at any time can give you good stuff). BF2 Talk Deck Guides 18:34, November 24, 2011 (UTC)
