I still don't really know what prompted Konami to ban this card last year in March 2012. Does Glow-up Bulb absolutely deserve the ban it currently has? I never viewed this as being an utterly broken, poorly designed card; in fact, this card was a completely balanced designed card with the "once per duel" clause written on it. It's not like Synchro decks were tier 1 just because of this card. Does Bulb have any hope of coming back, maybe even this September? It's been a while since synchro decks have made any impact on the meta. To me the only reason Konami banned this card was to promote Xyz monsters, which have dominated the game ever since the March 2012 format, when Bulb left. 24.12.202.163 (talk) 16:15, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

Bulb might seem balanced, but the fact is that Konami no longer loves Tuner monsters that can be reused for virtually no cost, even if once per duel. Besides, Bulb probably won't come back, the plant engine still exists, and we've learned that it can survive even with it's major parts limited. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 12:50, May 1, 2013 (UTC)
