OK, say I have Galaxy-Eyes out and say, my Koumori Dragon. My opponent has several monsters out, my opponent attacks my Koumori Dragon, I use Staunch Defender to switch the target to my Galaxy-Eyes, but that means all my opponent's monsters attack Galaxy-Eyes. Now say, I use Galaxy-Eyes' effect to banish it, are the others that were forced to attack by Staunch Defender banished too? SwordoftheSpirit (talkcontribs) 21:39, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

Only 1 monster your opponent that attacked on "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" you controlled, are banished. Then "Staunch Defender" fizzled since the target monster disappeared from the field and all other monsters your opponent control can attack your poor "Koumori Dragon" afterward. --iFredCat 21:49, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
Also, Staunch Defender cannot redirect the first attack since that attack has already been declared. Only the subsequent attacks are affected, not the one to which this card is activated in response. 89.35.217.135 (talk) 22:44, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
@89.35.217.135, False. See the text of "Staunch Defender" and its rulings for clarification. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:05, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
What ruling in particular? Also, if the targeted monster leaves the field, monsters your opponent controls cannot attack. 89.35.217.135 (talk) 23:14, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
Don't treat it like "Mystical Space Typhoon" missed the target when the latter leaving the field. --iFredCat 23:16, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
Check the rulings: "If your monster selected with "Staunch Defender" is destroyed, your opponent's remaining monsters cannot attack." 89.35.217.135 (talk) 23:17, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
