Do cards that trigger when used as Fusion Material for a Fusion Summon (e.g. "Fluffal Rabbit", "Fluffal Cat", and "Fluffal Octopus") when they are sent to the GY with "Future Fusion", will they get their effects? They all say "If this card is sent to the Graveyard as a Fusion Material for a Fusion Summon...", and "Future Fusion" does say "...send the Fusion Materials listed on it...", and the Summoning Effect says "...Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster..."
- Originally I thought "No, as the Fusion Summon and the sending of materials are not happening simultaneously".
- But now I am not sure, since in a tradition fusion summon (like all tributes/materials for a summon), the materials are sent first, then the summon happens, and that's why "Peten the Dark Clown" will miss its timing for "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon".
- If these cards were whens it would be a no-brainer, but considering they are sent to the GY and are being treated as fusion materials and it does preform a fusion summon, and the timing of an if activation in PSCT refers to the first possible instance that the effect all the conditions are met, AND the game has just entered an open game state.

I would say no, the effects will not trigger as sending Fusion materials from deck to grave is different from using them as Fusion materials. It is the issue about wording BlazeWu (talk • contribs) 11:04, January 20, 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, I appreciate the answer. But your answer/logic does give me second thoughts towards "Worm Zero" and "Infernoid Tierra". If Summoned by "Future Fusion" and sending as Fusion Materials is not the same as using as Fusion Materials, does that mean there were 0 Fusion Materials with different names used for this card's Summon? Since unlike a traditional Fusion, you are Summoning a monster with the same name from the Extra Deck, rather than the monster that the materials were necessarily used for. Thanks for your time.
