Just wondering, if Atlantean Armed Soldier was sent to the Graveyard because it was Tributed for the Summon of Atlantean Dragon Poseidra, would its effect activate? I'm not so sure about whether its effect activates for a Summon since it's sorta like an effect. LastMinute (talkcontribs) 02:41, April 27, 2012 (UTC)

It would not activate. Summon =/= effect. --> Summoned Skull 2: Electric Boogaloo 02:46, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
  • It depends what you mean... Obviously, if it was Tributed to summon Poseidra via its effect, then of course it would activate. That's the whole point. If you mean a Tribute Summon, no, it would not activate.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 02:56, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
Poseidra's summoning Condition is not considered an effect and does not activate. I should have been more specific. --> Summoned Skull 2: Electric Boogaloo 03:02, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
  • Actually, that remains to be seen. Wiki was unclear on this very issue with Magical Erudite Junon and it turned out to be wrong. Why would they lump cards that activate upon being tributed for an effect, the very thing Poseidra does, in the same Structure Deck as it if it's just an inherent summon?--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 03:04, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
I actually didn't know about the situation with Junon. I was just going by what Poseidra's page said. I guess we'll know for sure when the structure comes out. --> Summoned Skull 2: Electric Boogaloo 04:05, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
