Hey guys, I haven't been on this wikia in ages. In fact I haven't played the game in a long time, but I recently got back. I had two things that came up when I was playing on Dueling Network.

1. How do you summon CNo.39 Utopia Ray? Because I assumed I could just summon him straight on top of Utopia, but there were like three people who said I couldn't. Or I needed him with 2 other lights. SOmething about how Utopia has ranks and not levels so I can't. But I'm thinking...it says it on the card. So either they can't read or I'm missing something.

2. I was wondering how this Chain-Link resolves.

1. I attack Gachi Gachi Gantesu with Evolsar Dolkka 2. He activates Gachi's effect 3. I chain Dolkka 4. He reactivates Gachi's effect.

Now..I'm pretty sure Gachi dies right? Because Gachi doesn't negate my effect, instead just prevents his death. So After Chain link 3, mine would go off in 2 negating chain 1 and killing it?

C.Number 39: Utopia Ray has an ALTERNATIVE summon condition. You can XYZ summon him with just Utopia. If you do, Utopia's materials, if any, also get attached to Utopia Ray. This means that you can technically run Utopia out of materials and then XYZ summon Utopia Ray with one material. The same thing applys to Sacred Ptolemys Messier 7. 74.192.188.152 (talk) 18:43, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Unfortunately, Gachi's effect is a Continous effect. You couldn't have activated Dolkka's effect to begin with. 74.192.188.152 (talk) 18:44, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Whoever that IP number is kinda didn't understand my question. Yeah I know he has a continuous ability, but he has an ignition ability to. To negate his destruction by detaching a xyz material. And that's where the chain comes in. Aznskills90214 (talkcontribs) 20:24, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.
A common mistake would be saying it is a Trigger Effect, but it is obviously not an Ignition Effect.
ALL destroy instead effects are applied during resolution. e.g.
Chain Link 1: Dark Hole. resolve. Chain Link 1: Dark Hole (You apply the effect to destroy instead now; as all the other monsters are destroyed)
It is a Continuous Effect.
